IIT Ropar Placements 2024: Average Package, Highest Package, Top Recruiters

I am sharing the collective experiences of those who have witnessed IIT Ropar placements over the last few years. IIT Ropar, like any other institute, offers internship opportunities on the basis of your CGPA score but for placements, CGPA is just a cut-off criterion. Candidates are evaluated on a number of parameters by the companies that visit for placements. Some of them are

1. Analytical Abilities
2. Practical skills acquired
3. Behavior and attitude

Moreover, IT giants like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Paypal give the least preference to your CGPA. I asked my friends what they learn from their interview experiences and these are the inferences 

• "Positive Behavior and Attitude" is very important.
• Before appearing for an interview with your dream company always give lots of mock interviews or interviews in companies you are least interested
• Adopt a ‘Come what may" preparation in your core area and you will procure the maximum benefits.
• Apart from preparing technically,  it's very important to work on your communication skills.
• Adopt confidence and calm countenance, it will help you during strenuous situations.

Interviews are generally very unpredictable. So if you fail to crack a particular company, let that take the better of you. Your talents and persistence matter more than anything. Don’t let interviews be the only determining criteria of your worth!

IIT Ropar Placements 2023 were recently concluded and recorded 80.85% placements for the B.Tech batch. IIT Ropar highest package was recorded at INR 55 LPA whereas the average package was recorded at INR 22.49 LPA for B.Tech. 

A few top firms that visited IIT Ropar for placements included Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Infosys etc.
IIT Ropar MTech CSE recorded an average package of INR 18.94 LPA in 2022 with 100% placements.

IIT Ropar was known to have a relatively good placement record for computer science (CS) graduates. Despite being around for only 15 years, IIT Ropar's placements have been solid and becoming better each year. The following are some significant data points from last two years placement campaign:

IIT Ropar had a favorable placement record, particularly in fields like computer science and engineering. The institute had a high placement percentage with reputable companies offering competitive salary packages. However, placement outcomes can vary from year to year

IIT Ropar is a highly respected engineering institute in India, and its Civil Engineering program is no exception. The placements for Civil Engineering at IIT Ropar are generally good. Here are some important points to consider:

• The Civil Engineering program at IIT Ropar has a strong curriculum, which includes both theoretical and practical aspects of the field. This ensures that the students are well-equipped with the required  knowledge and skills.
• The institute has a dedicated placement cell that helps students find job opportunities. The placement cell has a good track record of placing students in reputed companies.
• Many top companies from various sectors such as construction, infrastructure, real estate, and consulting visit the campus for placements. These companies offer good salary packages to students.
• Some of the top companies that have hired Civil Engineering students from IIT Ropar include Tata Consulting Engineers, L&T, Gammon India, and AECOM, among others.
• Students who perform well academically and have good communication and interpersonal skills have a better chance of getting placed in top companies.

In conclusion, if you are planning to pursue Civil Engineering at IIT Ropar, you can be assured that the institute has a good track record of placements. However, it is important to note that placements also depend on individual performance, so it is essential to work hard and develop the necessary skills to stand out during the placement process.

It’s true that MTech in CSE has lesser scope and opportunities than BTech in CSE as companies are looking for freshers who can give it their all and work passionately. Also, the obsolete PG curriculum is responsible for the declining figures. IIT Ropar MTech in CSE placements have been tabulated below
