The night life is good you can get out of hostels even at 4 in the morning .

The exam procedure i think is not good it is just after

I like overall campus life of the college. We can roam in college campus whole night also.
I liked the infrastructure. It is better than many old generation IIT's

Dislikes

The food is not good in mess and mess fees is also high
Since it is a new college so college culture is nit so developed

Placement Experience:

Placement are good as it is an IIT. Students can appear for placement at end of forth semister. Some companies are sprinkler, oracle, mahindra and mahindra etc. Last year highest package was 60 lpa . My plan is to appear for GATE and IES exams

The infrastructure of the Modern and Ancient Mixup captured my heart.
The Hostel rooms have electricity and wifi available 24/7 and are fairly nice and clean.

Dislikes

There is very strict attendance policy of 75 % in the courses. Sometimes shortage of various sports equipments to fullfill all students need.

Placement Experience:

So far are very good placements and job opportunities for Students after the seventh Semester. The eligibility criteria for placements are 7.5 CGPA maintained until the 7th semester. The highest package offered on campus was 85 LPA and in campus offered was 65 LPA and the average package was 28. LPA. 100 % Of students set in placements get placed into good companies with decent packages.

Life at IIT

Likes

I liked the ambience and peace at the college. Quiet good.
Faculty here is the best, mostly from the older iits, so very experienced.

Dislikes

Club culture is not upto the mark, diminishes after the half year of start.
Gender ratio is not good, you'll see it once you get here.

Placement Experience:

Placements this year has seen decline as compared to 2 year back situation due to recession. Placements and internships offered have decreased lower in number as compared to previous situation. But still your future is secure, you'll get somewhere for sure.

Good collage with highly active students professors are really good

Some professor are very strict and very small room provided to freshers for double sharing

At 7 th semester you are eligible for placements Many mnc's comes to our collage like google ,oracle and many others highest package will be approx 88 lakh this year and approx all cse students get placed

this collage has great infrastructure, campus life and hostels
placements are good at this institute and courses and curriculum is also good.

Dislikes

Mess food of this campus is okay but I think it has to be improved, and no. of canines in this campus is also should be improve.
In summer it get too hot in Punjab and our hostel has no facility like A.C although classrooms and libs have that's that one issue.

Placement Experience:

After being ranked ninth best engineering institution across India last month by the union Ministry of human resource development, MHRD Indian Institute of technology, IIT Ropar has got another reason to rejoice with a better placement season for BTech students than last year. So far 80.85% of students have been placed with an average package of over 19.85,00,00 rupees per annum., Amazon, Google, Microsoft, PayPal ,Arista networks, Texas instruments, Larsen and Toubro Mahindra and Mahindra, Tata motors ,coal India Ltd, Anglo Eastern ship management steelwedge, Axtria and click labs with some of the major recruiters this year.im planning to do MBA and prepare for cat examination after the degree.approx 80.85% students are placed.higest pakage is around 55LPA.

i liked the sports culture in this campus
i liked some professor in this college .

Dislikes

campus is not fully developed like it is developed in 120 acres but rest is empty
the mess food in not good in taste in this campus.

Placement Experience:

the placements for the campus is nice like in electrical it is about an average package of 18 lakh.but this year due to ressesion is decreased.the placement for non core branch is more than the core one

I like the campus as it is spacious and green
The hostels facilities, they provide LAN connection in every room.

Dislikes

A lot of area of the college is still underdeveloped
There is no major city around the college.

Placement Experience:

Placement ratio for the CSE prior to this year was above 98% but I don't know about this year. There has been a downgrade due to layoffs. Internships are available in 2nd year whereas placements are done in 4th year.

Campus life is the best you ever lived in your life. What you have dream it comes true here
College fest are awesome than other colleges

Dislikes

Exam are even tougher than you thought are you are competing with those 0.1 % students
You really have to struggle in the exam period but only for the 1 week rest is full of enjoyment

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are much better like the avg package of recently passed out batch is 18-19lkh and median is 17 lkh. So no to worry much. Even you have learn many more things and even upto 4th yr you have that much potential that even if not get placed you can try of campus and easily get placed

I likes many things in IIT ROPAR the overall infrastructure of the college is very best and also the eco friendly enviorment.
The second thing i like is that the seniors of college is very friendly

Dislikes

The campus is outside so their is problem of transporation
The road facility from ropar to the campus of iit is very poor

Placement Experience:

you get placements in 4th year.many companies based on core and non core visite our college for the placenet oppurtinities for the students. the placement rate is also better in our college in comparitive to all other tier 2 colleges.the highest packages of last year is 55 lpa and average is approx 20lpa.

Likes

The flexibility about the hostel timings is good as we can go out any time in the night whenever we feel hungry.
There is a mental health clinic in our campus so that any student can go there if he/she feels stressed.

Dislikes

The weather in this region is extreme . It is either extreme hot or extreme cold.
The number of students in my college is very less and also the alumni network is very small.

Placement Experience:

In the branch of chemical engineering a student of final year, that is, 4th year is eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are bechtel and few more. Almost 85 percent students got placed in the year 2023. My plans after the degree is to get a job.
