GATE 2025 Exam is scheduled for February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025. Further, new paper combinations have been added for the GATE 2025 exam. Interested candidates can check the revised GATE subject combinations here or on the official website @gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

IIT JAM 2025 is scheduled for February 02, 2025. Any changes in the application form can be done till November 18, 2024, and the admit card is expected to be released in early January 2025. Interested candidates can check the official website for more details @jam2025.iitd.ac.in.

JEE Main 2025 exam dates have been announced for the January Session. The exam is scheduled from January 22 to January 31, 2025. Students seeking admission to B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Planning courses can apply online through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply is November 22, 2024. Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main 2025 qualified candidates will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced 2025 (conducted for engineering admission to IITs).

Likes

Our college has a very good research culture. Making it one of the best second tier iit.
Profs are young and are understanding and tech very well.

Dislikes

Our college has a little underdeveloped campus. Although the buildings that are made are pretty well. But things like indoor court are missing. But it has been said that it will be made available soon
The investment in clubs is a little less i think. Our colleges primary focus is on academics

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think where iit lacks is its old curriculum. We are still studying english geography biology while being an engineering student. The teaching methods i think is up to date. While there is a scope of improvement in the curicullum the missing parts are taken care by some professors or by student clubs.

Campus life of IIT Ropar

The hostels are quite good and well maintained.
The overall campus is large. It provides a very spacious environment.

Dislikes

The mess food is not quite good as expected.
There is no dedicated shop for dairy products.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses are quite relevant as you enter your 2nd year of college. In your first year, you must learn common subjects necessary for an engineer. Afterward, you are introduced to the core subjects of your branch.

Infrastructure is amazing and building are made properly by designing.
IIT has incubation centre and innovation lab that encourage students and researchers to develop their ideas into viable business solution.

Dislikes

Transporation facility is less but all things are good.
I really can't find anything in this institute that I not liked.

Course Curriculum Overview:

IIT Ropar curriculum is totally different and it is designed according to rules and regulation.It is mentioned their their rulebook.Credit system is mentioned and acoording to credit sysytem student got marks.Teaching method are fabulos and great .Classes are designed to requirement of subject.

I liked the proffesors teaching which is so good that you can grasp any of the thing they said with one night preparation
The infrastructure of the college is so good that there is an super academic block which is awesome

Dislikes

There are not many clubs that of my interest which is so bad
There are very less canteens available to students

Like I would rate is 8/10 because almost all the topics that they teach are outdated I guess and the clg may not have proper material to prepare for courses I specifically chose this course because I am so deeply in love with electrical engineering branch I Cannot suggest anything regarding improvement in this course

The crowd. Students are really bright and overall provides a good healthy competitive environment
The clubs. A lot of cultural, sports, literary and tech clubs are present.

Dislikes

Reachability, location is a bit off, in rural rupnagar
While there are a few options for food and groceries, i feel we need even more of them

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to pursue cse so chose IIT Ropar as I was getting CSE here as per me JEE rank. The curriculum is industry relevant and helped a lot for further preparations. I cant think of any chamges required in the curriculum as of now. Its good. Exams are kept regularly with difficulty being above average, which is to be expected to maintain the level of courses being taught

The curriculum is finely made taking into accounts all the industrial aspects that a student of their respective departments need. The timetable is really flexible with ample free time to sharpen one's skills and interests.

The opportunities are soo much huge in this college be it in any domain

the location of the college far from the city

Acedmic is very strict and to achieve max score we have to study daily. College provide good opportunity for placement

Acedmics is very script and we have to study on daily basis

Sports Facility is very good. IIT Ropar provides coaches for all physical sports. A variety of student run clubs and societies provide opportunities
Lab facilities are also very good. The campus is continually expanding and offers modern amenties

Dislikes

IIT Ropar campus is in remote area and away from the city.
Academic level like other IITS is of good level so you have to give time for passing the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is proper in IIT Ropar. The semester goes fully according to the released timetable. And each semester is around 4.5 months. Midsems ends in around 1 week And Endsem ends in around 8 to 10 days depending to the exam timetable.
