Courses curriculum is tuff especially for my branch. Very old syllabus is there and it is of very less use in placement. For exams, 2 exams are held in each semister one mid sem and other the end sem.

As AI is on boost it changed my mind to the industries where it had a little effect, that's why I choose Metallurgical and Materials engineering. The faculty is awesome, all are well-educated with the degree of PhD. Their methods of teaching are excellent and they are very supportive and don't grimace in solving our doubts. There are 2 term exams namely mid-semester and end-semester, difficulty level is a little high with strict marking as a cherry on top. Fees are around 1100000 per semester for the General Category and there are many scholarship programs for the needful.

Academics are designed very good here, we get courses like history of technology, technology museum in the 1st year itself. Courses are aimed at overall development of the students and not just mugging up.

the courses are nice and the time table also well structured so we get lot of time to do extraa curicular activities. generally the courses involving practical knowlage for them labs are sceuled on that course.the exams are of three catogary quiz, midsem and endsem mis and end sem ocuurs at gap of approx. 2months and this deficulty is prety good, and the course is improving sem by sem as feedback is provided by us.

i think the curriculum in little hard then the private college. there are couses like ma102 which is very hard. ans we have labs whcih we cannot leave if we leave the lab by any reason then we have to take the lab in buffer time . in classes we have to maintain 75 percent attendence but in depedn on prof. some time they do not take attendence priorty they are felxible about it we have 5 times working days in a week .we have 2 times paper in one sem .but we have quizes which depend on courses. but it is usually 2 times in a sem .

Most courses are really eventful and to the point for the most part. Instructors are engaging and supportive. Real life applications can be improved though. Looking forward for more modern courses to be added.

The course of curriculum of the chemical engineering at iit ropar is highly regarded as both relavant and comprehensive. What attracted me to the course is main focus on core chemical engineering principle.the courses make you ready for the real jobs and including hand on activities like lab works and internships.the helps a lot is you are prepering for higher studies.to make it even better they could add classes they mixes with other types of engineering and talk more about eco friendly solution. Also doing more projects and working with any of the companies will give a better experience and also you get experties in management.the frequency and the timing of the exams is according to the academic calender, there are regular assignments and mid semester exan and also end sem examination at the end of the semester
