Emphasis on VNIT

Likes

Campus Area is very large and exposure is good
Faculty is great and they teach very good
Attendance is 75% compulsory which is good by academic perspective

Dislikes

Gender Ratio is very low.If Class has 120 students only 30 are girls
Assignment Writing is a complete mess.They Never see what is written
Lab Equipments are faulty atleast for 1st yr labs

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well It's a autonomous University so curriculum is pretty predictable as it is set by college authorities and specific books are referred so as to get knowledge of a particular knowledge.I think Conventional Topics should be done but along with it new courses which upskills students should be introduced

Day scholar life of VNIT

Likes

The labs are nearly top notch . Every dept has a lawn except for cse
Canteen is decent . It has a great sports complex.
Cleanliness is taken care of everyday. Medical just in case. Open 24 hrs i guesss and a really big gym

Dislikes

Hectic from 2nd year onwords the curriculun gets hectic.
The distance between girls and boys hostel is very much.
The campus does not have a medical store inside it.

You get eligible from 3rd year which is 6th-7th semester . 172 companies came and 787 job offers were made in 2024-25 session . Max of 64.44 lacs per annum secured by 14 students from it major dept and a avg of 11.93 lacs package was provided for BTECH where as 6.9 lacs per annum for MTECH 66 % of students got placed I want to do masters after degree .

Likes

Sports facilities is very likable. In vnit, there is a lush green campus
Campus is very well managed and eco friendly.
Library is well managed and wifi facility also provide.

Dislikes

The mess food is not too good and not eatable.
The toilets are not that much clean and dirt is always present there.
The distance between girls and boys hostel is large.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness 10 out of 10. The curriculum is well and tough but well. And the teachers are helpful and very understable. Teachers are very polite.

The vnit review

Likes

Lush green campus, huge and very beautiful
Has great sports facilities all sports are available and separate cpurts are made for each
There is a program called student mentor program where a student is given a mentor with whom problems can be shared

Dislikes

The mess food is not up to the mark, the quality and taste of food is not great
Not all faculties are good at teaching, some are really good whereas some are really good
The intime for students is 8pm which sometimes makes us leave events midway

VNIT'from a dayskis's POV

Likes

I like the campus kind of lavish green
Professors are nice , they took tutorials for personal doubt solving
Mentorship program id the greatest thing personal guidance by seniors i given to us throughout college journey

Dislikes

Sometime wifi doesn't work in the class room complex
Computer lab occurs at the same room where , usually we use to go
Canteen is unhygienic i think , it can be more cleaner

Placement Experience:

I asked to my mentors about the placement here, they have told us , that from 3rd year onward they get internship offers , and there is the placements firm in our college , they provid mock interviews for the place that might be happen in Starting of 4th year

I like the campus of my college it's big enough and have good hostel facilities also hostel facilities are nice..
Sports facilities are also very good, grounds and equipments are very good
Cultural Festivals of college are very good

Dislikes

Quality of artists in fests should be improved
Boys and girls hostel are very far from each other
No night life intime is there which is very pathetic

Courses and curriculum is nearly same as IITs. I really like the VLSC course in which we have to do night camping in our college. it was very thrilling.for first year there are two different streams physics and chemistry in respective semesters

VNIT: Myths busted

Likes

The college has a very good culture when it comes to sports and other cultural events
The college also has a very big swimming pool
The hostel area and overall rooms are well maintained

Dislikes

The mess food is barely edible and sometimes very bad
The distance between hostel and sports complex is very large
The curriculum is extremely outdated and needs to be improved

The curriculum is extremely outdated and almost has no relation and usefulness with todays world. We are made to write experiments instead of actually performing and mastering them which sucks. The teachers are helpful though

Likes

Connectivity of college is very nice near the college you have metro.
Campus is very nice having all necessary things .
Nature of Nagpur is hot but due to greenery in college campus is little bit cold.

Dislikes

Distance between boys hostel and girls hostel is so far
Boys and girls ratio is not so good as Baya are more in number of girl.
Hostel bathroom is not clear well it is cleaned once in a week

From seventh semester students are eligible for campus placement. In my college companies have eligibility criteria of 7.5 cgpa with no ff grade . In campus TCS ,ITC, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, WIPRO and etc .come for giving placement opportunities to studentes highest package was 43 lakh per annum and average is 13 lakh per annum

The best college ever

Likes

I like the college campus because it is really green and also it is a very large campus I also like a the sports facilities also professors here are really great.
The infrastructure of the college is really good and also the labs and departments has very good machines and has a good outreach
The curriculum of the college is really good as they teach topics relevantly and to the point

Dislikes

The hostel food is not really good the quality of food they provie has been degrading since days
The college is not really good at taking up events as the director does not give permission for events easily.
The distance between boys and girls hostel is too far so it is hard to maintain a male female frndship

The curriculum we have is all like similar to all IIT's in sem 1 we had Maths 1,EE,CP,CHEM and in this sem we have EM MATHS 2 PHY ED Frequency and timings of exam is perfect as they finish up in 2 exams midsem and endsem. The area of improvement would be the way of teaching and a bit of curriculum because the college still follow a traditional way
