I would say the course is quite irrelevant for the first year that other branches students like environmental, petro, Mineral and Metallurgy students do not have their core subjects which are good but I think starting from 1 year will be good

Exams are kind of good for sure you need to study and exams are on time. Faculty to student ratio is perfectly fine too teachers are great. I can't really complain about anything as IIT itself holds some power.

This is the only IIT where Petroleum Engineering has a bachelor's course, so the majority of companies come to the campus to hire the graduates. Facilities are highly experienced and qualified, some have even been teaching for the past 40 years.

the course is less hectic if you compare it with other branches like electronics and communication engineering, mechanical or electrical. you will have ample time to pursue the thing you want to other than academics. The faculty is good here. they are all qualified professors and assistant professors.

The Petroleum Engineering branch of IIT ISM Dhanbad is very renowned and is very great in terms of placement. There are several faculties for every subject of the course and around 90 students in the batch. All the faculties are very skilled in their respective teaching fields and their teaching style is equally great. Term exams are held on time and the level of hardness is pretty good.

I chose this course cause it was the best course available for me. The course is of medium difficulty and faculty members are nice. The faculty is well qualified and one of our professors has also served as the director of ISM.

I choose this course because this branch provides the best placement and internship opportunities as compared to any other branch. student: faculty ratio is 14-18. you will face high academic competition in this branch as compared to other branches.

I choose Petroleum Engineering because it was the best I found according to my rank in jee advanced. There is a lot of confusion between colleges, and which one I choose, but I finally choose IIT ISM Petroleum Engineering due to good placements, culture, and other things. The ratio of students: to faculty is around 1:20 . NO doubt the qualification of professors is excellent, each one of them is best in their field but I found some profs lag in teaching method. There are mainly 2 exams in every semister mid sem exam and end sem exam and also some quizzes, for students it like easy to pass but a little bit tough to score good grades.

I choose this course because I want to study at an IIT and I am preparing for the entrance exam of JEE Advance there are many types of facilities some faculties are strict and some are cool. Here Girls and Boys ratio is 1:4. Some professors explain very nicely but some have only read the pdf. One sem is had 4 months in this 4 months of mid approx at 2 months we have mid-semester and then at the end, we have the end sem.

In one semester we have to choose around five courses and two labs. We can choose open electives courses as well. Faculty to student ratio is good with respect to other colleges. The students are from all parts of India. Exams are moderately difficult
