NIT Patna is a public technical and research university located in Patna, Bihar, India. It was established in 1950 by the Government of India as a college of engineering. The institute was granted the status of a national Institute of Technology in 2003.NIT Patna offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, science, and technology. The institute has a strong faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure. NIT Patna has been consistently ranked among the top engineering institutes in India.

Likes

The professors in this college , especially in the CSE depatment are very nice and supportive. They are expert in their respective research field and also very passionate about teaching.
The sports infrastructure here is too good. Despite having a small campus, all sports facilities are available including Cricket, Football, Basketball, Tennis, Squash and Badminton.

Dislikes

The hostels are a bit old in infrastructure for the first year. But the location where it is present compensates for it.
The campus alllows visitors without proper entry. Although security is very tight at hostel entrances, but someone from outside can also enter the campus.

Internships Opportunities:

If you have some good prjects on your resume, then you can easily get internship here oncampus as well as offcampus. The companies that visited include Microsoft, Google, Blackrock, Atlassian, Accenture, Amazon, Facebook , Uber and startups like, Paytm, Zomato and others. The stipend offered gors from 50K/month to even 2 Lacs per month for the top tech companies.

Owing to the bad Market scene the situation of internship wasn't very good this year.Although Visa,Texas Instruments,Fractal came....most of the internships were off campus to Microsoft and Normally the scene is good.

The guidlines and cooperation from seniors is very good . They will help like our family.
The campus is in the middle of the city. Everything is available nearby

Campus area is quite small not even 100 acres
People from south should adjust for food

we have various intership opportunities interns may recieve stipend depending on the nature of the intership And funding availability there are three types of internships first one is paid internship where inters are paid with stipend based on their performance and second is free internship where there is no stipend but the student will gain knowledge and last is that intern has to pay money and he will get certified

I have liked the college in terms of its placements
I have liked the college in terms of the faculty clearing the doubts

I have mainly disliked the hostel and the infrastructure in the hostel
The mess food is not good it should be hygienic and clean

There will be many companies visiting the college for internships like Amazon, oracle and Wipro ,Samsung.The internships mainly come for the cse students and ece students.There will be projects done by the students in their final years.And based on that if many mistakes are clarified by the faculty.

The infrastructure of NIT Patna is not good compare to other NIT.

College is good in terms of culture, alumni and Beauty.
the best part of college is it is situated on the bank of river ganga.

campus is too small night now, but they are planning to shift the college to Bihta .may be in 2025
Too many Bengali professors is here , they have problem in speaking hindi and english both

Placement Experience:

Generally student with average or above acadmics gets placed. the placement scenerio depends on our high school grades also because some company allows 6- 8 and above CGPA in all exams. the avergae package in mechanical is 6-7 LPA.

Architecture life in NIT Patna

I like the fact that my college is situated just along the Ganga river.
Evenings are full of social interactions.

I dislike the old infrastructure of the college.
I didike the traditional old methods of theoretical teachings.

In architecture there is no such college internships. We have to look it for our own. Stipend mostly ranges grin 5k to 6k. In btech it's very good. Companies like Google and Microsoft hire interns and give lucrative stipends.

My college has best Infrastructure it has almost all of the facilities an NIT or a Engineering college needs.
My college NIT Patna are equipped with many clubs with supports the all round development of the students apart from academics.My college has many clubs and it has a green environment which is required for healthy living of all people living.

My college NIT Patna has a small campus.
My college has a small gym. Which does not have all equipments for all the exercises of students for maintaining healthy lifestyle.

Our college NIT Patna provides various Internship opportunities to their students after 3rd Year. Top Multinational companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Adobe, Samsung, Tata Elxis, OLX , etc. visits our college for Internship opportunities. Their salaries ranges are different different depending upon the companies.

Faculties are good and help in understanding concepts
We get a good competitive environment so that we can score well in academic

Campus area is small. Infrastructure is not that good
Hostel is compact. There are 6 people residing in same room

The companies which offer internship with stipend are Trident, Microsoft, Google etc. Everyone do not get paid internship. Many students have to do unpaid internship which is disappointing. Everyone should get paid internships.

It is near market so it's easy to go and come. Campus is small so you can go anywhere no need of bycycle compare to other NIT. It's beautiful and old architect

This year placement is not too good it's average.
Mess food is oily and plates are dirty not much but it's little dirty

For electrical engineering they provide internship. For other branches we need to find by ourselves. Which is not good. College should provide internship but good at the same time for those who have connection.
