A life in a decent NIT

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees of a semester is 62500 which means 125000 in a year, the hostel and mess charges combined are 32,000 per semester which means 64,000 in a year. But if you are a sc/st candidate or a general/obc whose income is less than 1 lakh/year, then tution fees are waived and you only have to pay the hostel and mess fees. As this is a NIT, therefore the fee structure we got in the first year will be our fees for the remaining years.... There are many scholarships too given by the state and central government, there is NSP too....

But if your family income is less than 1 lakhs then you will get full tution fee remission, if your family income is in between 2 to 5 lakhs then you will get 2/3 rd tution fee remission. Even if you're SC or ST candidate then you get full tution fee remission for your entire course.

Having some friends studying in these institutes, I can say that as per what they mentioned, NIT Patna arrives with a better placement rate than the other two counterparts.

In a nutshell, there are multiple core companies that visit the campus during the placement drive.
These include major firms like Alston transport, L&T HED, L&T Constructions, Thermal, Havells, TATA Motors and many others.
Other than these few, various other students secure placement offers in companies belonging to the IT sector and the Consultancy services.
