I have choose EE because it's have both core and it features so i believe that I will go for core but if the situation changes then accordingly i will shift. The curriculum is pretty good in this campus according to me that's why I have choose this course. I don't think I have enough thinking level to suggest about that. Before exam there should be some gap for studies purpose I mean to say classes should be off. And everything is good.

For campus placements the students should be at 7th or 8th semester basically 4th year students are only allowed . Sorry can't determine companies but yes in our college on top 500 companies in world can only come to provide placements . Recently the highest package on-campus is 63lpa and off-campus is 1.3CPA . This year due to recession the % of students placed gradually dropped but upto last year overall around 75-80% students were placed . My plan is to get a job after getting degree.

Companies that visit include NRL, BHEL, SMTL, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc. highest package last year was provided by ATLASSIAN and was Rs. 80 lakh per year. NIT Silchar is a prestigious engineering college that imparts quality education in various fields. However, the PG courses aren't very well-known and only the UG courses have gained fame over time. It is therefore advisable to check the profiles of the teachers in the respective department.
Additionally, NIT Silchar is located in a remote location and you might find it difficult to procure your equipment for projects. MTech depends on the quality of the research and project you have completed and if you fail to accomplish it your MTech degree is invaluable.
Most companies visiting NIT Silchar prefer BTech students to MTech students. So getting a good job let alone a core job is very difficult here. The institute has no international ties so your future prospects may narrow down further.
Consider all the above factors before making your final decision!
