- Placements of nit Silchar is good .and it has improved alot in the recent years
- The relationship between senior and junior is good and the seniors helps and support the junior in his very problem
Dislikes
- The gym facilities are not upto the mark and it also lacks basic equipment which should be present.
- The auditorium is also not that good and it doesn't have facilities like centralised ac, sound proof walls etc
Course Curriculum Overview :
My first aspect of choosing this course was the problem it solves in daily life issue. The curriculum helps us in many ways by providing practical solutions to each and every problem and how to solve it using the theories. The scope of improvement is in digitise the teaching methodology like introducting animation for teaching the theories. Exams are held twice in a semester and the timing is from 9am to 11am.
Internships Opportunities :
Many companies like Amazon , Microsoft provide internship in our college.the stipend ranges from company to company.and it is generally from 10k to 100k.the internship starts from the third year itself.
Placement Experience :
The placement is overall good.and there are many good companies which comes for on campus placement like Microsoft, Amazon.students are eligible for placement from the third year onwards.80 percent of students get placement overall in the recent years.the highest package is 52 lakhs and the average is 11 lakhs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fees varies for students as per their income and caste.it ramges from 0 fees to 72000 per semester. My complete cost for 4 years will be around 800000. There are many financial aid provided by the college for students who have income less than 100000.
Campus Life :
There are two main fest in our college namely technonesis held in October of every year and incandescene held in February of every month. The library is good and it is regarded as the largest digital library in Asia.
Hostel Facilities :
The basic facilities like fan and lights with study table are provided in the room.the meal is not that good but it is edible.there are four meals in a day .there are options like veg and non veg and a student can choose either of them.
Admission :
Eligibility is to qualify the jee mains exam and secure a seat in jossa counselling.the application form is provided by jossa and the exams are held twice in a year.the timings are generally one in January and one in April.
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is not that good.it is like 85:1 in every section The faculties are almost good in teaching except some The interaction between teacher and student is good.student can share there every problem with their teacher.
