During NIT Silchar Placements 2022, the highest number of students were placed from the ECE branch followed by the CSE branch.
My friend is a student at NIT Silchar in the CSE Department. He gave a detailed review of his college which has been enumerated below
Considering the above points, NIT Silchar is a great choice for an engineering aspirant.
My father is an ex-TnP coordinator of NIT-Silchar, and I asked him the same question. Here is what he shared
So yes, NIT Silchar is worth every penny you spend here!
NIT Silchar is a far better option than both NIT Agartala and NIT Mizoram. There are a number of strong reasons that support my claim I have listed the most important ones
So, it’s advisable to give preference to NIT Silchar over NIT Agartala and NIT Mizoram due to the above reasons.
Before joining NIT Agartala, even I had many misconceptions about this institution. These were mostly regarding the connectivity, environment, culture, diet, infrastructure, faculty and placements.
Now that I have experienced life at NITA, I am in a position to break these misconceptions about NITA and NITS-
I hope that you will consider NIT Agartala and NIT Silchar for your higher studies. Both are very good colleges.
NIT Silchar has a competitive peer group, which is a major factor in your growth as an individual. It consists of brilliant minds, sports enthusiasts, and aspirant students. Another attractive part of the college is that they give equal importance to the extracurricular activities along with the studies, which is evident from the presence of numerous clubs and societies on campus. Second-year and third-year students usually get placed in core companies with decent salary packages every year.
Overall, NIT Silchar will gift you a mind-blowing experience that will enhance both your growth and career.
At NIT Silchar, classes begin at around 8 am. Everyone rushes off to attend their lectures, mostly on an empty stomach. At 12 noon, everyone gets a break from classes and has lunch. This is followed by lab or afternoon classes on some days and free time on some others. Afternoon sessions are held till 5 in the evening. After 5, some people go for club meetings, some hit the gym, some play their favorite sports, and others spend time with their friends. This goes on till 7-7:30 pm. Sometimes, workshops and practical lab sessions take up most of the evening.
After that, it's time to go back to hostels, get some work done, take a bath and eat by 9 pm. Football fans like to watch games on the common room TV and gamers are on their screens till 12-1 am. Midnights are meant for birthday gatherings. This hostel schedule is for boys, it may differ for girl students.
NIT Silchar has been a great experience for me, despite coming from a totally different cultural setup. You’ll find people from all over India over there. You should go to Indie Lake with friends in the evening. The campus is really big and there’s a lot to explore. The tech fest Tecnoesis and cultural-fest Incandescence are much awaited. Although NIT Silchar has undergone a lot of improvement, frequent power cuts, uncertain weather, and forest-like fields surrounding the campus may irritate you sometimes.
Regardless of a few shortcomings, you will have plenty of fun with your friends during your time at NIT Silchar. Apart from studies, you’ll be introduced to night outs, college fests, and basically finding joy in the most random things. This place will teach you not just academics but also some valuable life lessons.
When it comes to choosing the right college for your CSE/IT degree, there are several factors that need to be taken into consideration. Some of the most important factors include location, placement, campus, fee structure, and branch. Based on these factors, one can make an informed decision about which college to choose.
In terms of the specific colleges mentioned, IIIT Jabalpur, NIT Patna, and NIT Silchar are all well-known institutes for CSE/IT courses. Here are some details about IIIT Jabalpur and why it could be a good option for you:
Location:
Placement:
Campus:
Fee Structure:
Course Structure:
If you are looking for a college for your CSE/IT degree, IIIT Jabalpur could be a good option to consider. With its location, placement opportunities, campus facilities, competitive fee structure, and well-designed course structure, IIIT Jabalpur is a great choice for students who want to excel in the field of computer science and engineering.
According to me, IIIT Jabalpur is way ahead of the other two colleges. It is followed by NIT Patna. Here are some advantages of IIIT Jabalpur-
The placements for Mechanical, CSE and ECE are quite impressive. Other students opt for CAT/GMAT/higher studies abroad. The college is just 4 km away from the Jabalpur airport which facilitates more companies to visit the campus for placements. Because of good connectivity to major metropolitan cities of India, the placements are expected to increase exponentially in the coming years.
Campus life is great. You can play Volleyball, Cricket, and Football with your friends till late evening. The college fests- Gusto and Abhikalpan are much awaited.
Therefore, out of NIT Silchar, NIT Patna and IIIT Jabalpur, I would suggest you go for the third one.
The answer to this question depends upon your branch preference. If you don’t have a particular branch preference, you can get into NIT Silchar.
