The infrastructure of National Institute of Technology Silchar is very good. Most of the buildings are very large and the equipments in the laboratories are very upto dated.

Though the infrastructure is good but most of them are unused

Course Curriculum Overview :

The academic sessions of NIT SILCHAR is very fast indeed. It can come and go in the blink of an eye. Though you haven't to study all day to maintain a good CGPA. But daily study of atleast 1 hour a day will help you to maintain a good overall CGPA.

Class Size : 180Course Fees : INR 85000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Like all other technical institutes National Institute of Technology Silchar also provides internship programs. You can do internship programs from first year onwards. However it is advised to do internships from second year as first year is all about learning and second year is all about experiencing

Placement Experience :

Like all the other NITS there is placem cell in NIT Silchar too which invites all the companies from around the country to the campus. Big big companies like Amazon TCS have hired students from NIT Silchar in the past. The percentage of students getting placed sticks around 70-80% every year..The highest package till date is 80L per annum.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Studying in a national institute is never free. However the fee structure of NIT SILCHAR is very nicely prepared. One can afford to study here. Also for economically weaker students, there is a relaxation in fees. There are various scholarships that helps the students financially.

Campus Life :

The campus life of NIT Silchar is not at all boring. You will get various fests from time to time. Incandescence is the annual cultural fest of NIT Silchar. Also there is one technical fest of NIT Silchar called Tecnoesis. There are various clubs too. NCC and NSS programs are also available here

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility of NIT Silchar is quite good. You can get a single room, double room or a triple room based on your academic performances. However the food quality of the mess is bit compromised. One is allotted hostels just after the admission process

Hostel Fee : INR 35000 per year

Admission :

One can get admission into Nit Silchar once he/she qualifies the JEE Mains examination. The counseling is done by JOSAA Board. The JEE Mains examination usually happens in two sessions one in January and the other in April. One who qualifies in any one of the session is eligible to get admission into thr NITS

Faculty :

The faculty members of NIT Silchar is very large. The faculties are very helpful. They are always eager to help the students. Though you have to approach them first for their help, but once approached they will surely help you

Crisp college experience

Placement Experience:

Placements in this college is quite decent . Students are eligible to sit for placements at the start of 4th year The average placement percentage was 90 percent last year with max package of 52lpa and average of 16lpa (for cs) .Among core branches , the mech department is quite good offers good packages and also have great faculties .

Faculty members are the best part of the college.

Placement Experience:

Almost 60% of students got placed in our course. The highest was 7 LPA, the lowest was 3.5 LPA and the average is around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vodafone, Jio etc. Our college provides better placements compared to other private colleges.

How is it like to be a student of The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've been enthusiastic about exploring more about software and programming which influenced me to choose the course of Computer Science Engineering. With further development of artificial intelligence, it opens up better learning and job opportunities for students. In my university, computer science is taught by experienced teachers and faculty but it would be better if they were more inclusive of certain topics which are extremely important for the students and raising the level of teaching including practical learning and understanding and also examining the student's capability is one of the aspects to be included.
