Assam Don Bosco University offers the following Scholarship Schemes to encourage meritorious students to avail of the excellent academic ambiance of the University as well as to ensure equitable access to higher education for economically weaker sections of society and persons with disability/ies.

ADBU Merit Scholarship

The University has made an amount of Rs 4.67 Crores available in the form of a Merit Scholarship based on student's performance in the qualifying exam at the time of admission. The eligibility, requirements for continuation, number of students who can avail of each Programme of Studies, and the amounts are given below:

If someone wants to opt for a natural and peaceful environment, far from all those city stuff, it is the best option. As the university is located among the hills of Sonapur, the view is quite breathtaking. It's all green and clean place!
Whenever the university holds a program, it is done quite well with a perfect planning and organization.

Dislikes

One thing I don't like is their sport system. The students get to select the participants so there seems to be biased monopoly among them.
One thing one, the English department HOD lacks on providing any information beforehand so that often leads to confusion and rush among the students

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The tuition fees are expensive. Though the fees decrease as the semester increases. Scholarships, maybe I didn't explore much about this so idk. But they do provide campus employment opportunities a lot as in canteen waiters, PhD students were given the opportunity to teach the students, like that

The fee structure of this college is very good and affordable but they don't provide any scholarships to the institute students also this year the batch 2022-2024 hardly got any placements only few students got selected and placed

The faculty is really helpful and friendly. They provide guidance on many aspects
The campus is beautiful. It provides for a really great atmosphere for academics

Dislikes

Thr hostels are not well maintained. The washrooms are not cleaned properly with disinfectants
The wardens and security guards harass students regarding their clothes

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The tuition fees for Bachelors of Arts in Economics is around ?44,000 per semester. If we opt for hostel accommodation then we have to pay and additional amount of ?20000 towards the hostel. Various scholarships and financial assistance facilities are also available for students.

Likes

The professor are well qualified and are very good in their own domain with a lot of experience
This university also makes sure that the students come to the college everyday as 75% attendance is mandatory to sit for the exams.

Dislikes

The timing is one of the thing that I personally don't like it is a bit early for an university student and also the exams are quite frequent
There are two campus in our university one is in Tapesia and other one is in Azara I stay in Azara campus and it is very small campus

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

It is quite expensive for a middle class student to study here, talking about the scholarship you have to be the toppper of the class and there can be only one person from each class who gets the scholarship which is not fair atleast the should take the top three students of the class .The complete cost of the university fee is around five lakhs for BBA . The fee should be reduced a bit then I would feel it worth it or else it is overpriced.

The faculties are all concerned of the student's performance and are very considering in terms of the attendance
The courses offered by the university are very well scope with the real life expertise

Dislikes

The campus is small and it's surrounding are not very hygienic and since it's just nearby the national highway the disturbance is quite often.
Internet could be well provided for the students inside the premises and some certain classes

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The course of Bachelor of Computer Applications is one of the most cheapest in terms of finance yet so well scoped with the real life applications in our campus. It is very well worth it when compares with the other courses as it is affordable with more higher probablities of getting employed in the future.

What i like about this Assam Don Bosco University is that the teachers are very friendly to the students which greatly enhance the learning atmosphere. I also like the way they taught us the lesson in the classroom.
I also like the corporation between teacher staff and the student. There is no ragging to the Junior by the senior. The seniors encouraged us in any way possible.

Dislikes

In this university what i don't like is that although the campus is sceneric it is smaller for university and also there is no football ground
Campuses are very far from each other wich make it difficult to make friends with the other campuses. And there is also very little collaboration between these campuses though we are in same university.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The tuition fees in this university is higher then what I expected, it would be difficult for middle-class student to effort like this university. We pay the tuition fees in the beginning of the semester and sometimes including the annual fee which is about half of the tuition fee. In one semester I spent 33000 for hostel fees and about ?41000 for the tuition fee excluding exam registration fee which is ?1000.there is a scholarship for student who have very hight CGPA and also student with physically challenged, they also refund about ?5000 to those student who graduate from Don Bosco institutions, other then that they also provide scholarship of about ?10000 for student whose parents have annual income of less then ?200000.

Life In Assam Don Bosco University

Likes

I like the lifestyle of the college campus and how everyone is so sociable. It is easy to make friends and there are certain activities that you can do
I also like the simpleness of the campus and easy access to the library and classrooms.

Dislikes

There is not enough or better equipment in the Labs and in the canteen. Some computers are also not usable
Sports and games equipments are lacking and there is no good group for field sports like cricket and football

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Each semester fee is Rs. 26000 and every year there is an additional yearly fee of Rs. 18000 coming to a total of 71000 per year spanning through a total of 4 years(NEP). There are also various scholarships that we can apply, some of which are for unfortunate students while others are for being toppers in their respective classes. There is special scholarships for ST students and the scholarship can go upto Rs. 15000. The University also gives internships to students who apply for them in various fields. There are also rewards given to the toppers of each class ranging upto Rs. 1000

A brief review of My University life.

The teachers are so good. They don't bother to help the students.
The university has 3 Campus and all of them are away from the chaotic environment of the City.

Dislikes

The canteen service could be better. They should include more items in the menu.
They transportation could have been better.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee's structure depends on ur course. For BBA it's 50000 per sem. I don't know about the other courses. ADBU offers Various scholarships in various Fields, like Sports , merit talents, Reservation etc

the main thing which I like about Assam Don Bosco University is the experienced faculty they are quite experience about the real time they are quite experience about upcoming technologies and skills required for the industry
the lab experience of the colleges quite good

Dislikes

the internship opportunities are less as compared to the other college
the college infrastructure is not up to the mark

The fee structure is available in the college website and is different for different courses but I appeal BTech in computer science and information and technology and my fees is around 4.8 lakh the fees can be paid semester wise or as a whole but if you pay the fees as a whole you get you can avail some sort of discount on it. Menis scholarships are also provided by the college

The campus was education friendly with the whole green environment.
The foods was budget friendly and taste good.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fees is not increasing not decreasing instead it has a static amount. It would be around 1lakh and 60 thousands for 4 years with 8 semesters and other charges. Collegedunia and intershala help us in this aspect. Not really because I m still a student.
