The environment is too good for studies, Good facilities Smart boards, projectors, AC labs
Regular tests and evaluations. Proper Importance given to students

Dislikes

Improvements are needed in Placement opportunities.

Placement Experience:

3rd sem onwards placement starts. Very little company shows up. And even less offer something. To date, one came (PWC)for intership/training and gave to 7 B.Tech CSE students among hundreds. And the packages offered are too low for survival outside the hometown.

A brief review of My University life.

Likes

The teachers are so good. They don't bother to help the students.
The university has 3 Campus and all of them are away from the chaotic environment of the City.

Dislikes

The canteen service could be better. They should include more items in the menu.
They transportation could have been better.

Placement Experience:

The University provides decent Placements to the courses. How ever not everyone gets placed. As a backup option they opt for off campus placement and Others higher education courses. Allmost 72% students gets placements offers.

Life of a hospitality student

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible for placement. Placements are good and all the top hotels you can think of come for campus placements. You can go for a walk in interview in any of the hotel as well. Going on cruise will earn you a bigger salary. Initially if working in hotels pay will be less but after around 3-5 year experience salary will increase a lot. Average salary package per month is 20 thousand. And highest package per month is 35 thousand. Around 80% students get placed.

I like the cafeteria area the canteen is good
The faculty of the college are good and supportive.

Dislikes

The campus experience is not so good. The campus is very short.
The campus is not so big. The auditorium stage is very small and speakers are really really bad

Internships Opportunities:

I worked as a intern in an govt institute. I worked at IT department, i was given to create software for them to store datas. It was a non paying stipend less internship. I created software for storing many information required for them to store.

The faculty is really helpful and friendly. They provide guidance on many aspects
The campus is beautiful. It provides for a really great atmosphere for academics

Dislikes

Thr hostels are not well maintained. The washrooms are not cleaned properly with disinfectants
The wardens and security guards harass students regarding their clothes

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are offered through internshala and sometimes different foundations come to campus providing various internships for the students. Most of the internships are unpaid. But if secured independently, we can obtain paid internships

University life of an average student

Likes

The professor are well qualified and are very good in their own domain with a lot of experience
This university also makes sure that the students come to the college everyday as 75% attendance is mandatory to sit for the exams.

Dislikes

The timing is one of the thing that I personally don't like it is a bit early for an university student and also the exams are quite frequent
There are two campus in our university one is in Tapesia and other one is in Azara I stay in Azara campus and it is very small campus

Internships Opportunities:

As first year student i didn't get to do internship yet but it is necessary that we complete atleast three internship during our degree . Various companies come to our college for hiring the interns it is good that we are encouraged to do internship as it gives us work experience .

What i like about this Assam Don Bosco University is that the teachers are very friendly to the students which greatly enhance the learning atmosphere. I also like the way they taught us the lesson in the classroom.
I also like the corporation between teacher staff and the student. There is no ragging to the Junior by the senior. The seniors encouraged us in any way possible.

Dislikes

In this university what i don't like is that although the campus is sceneric it is smaller for university and also there is no football ground
Campuses are very far from each other wich make it difficult to make friends with the other campuses. And there is also very little collaboration between these campuses though we are in same university.

Internships Opportunities:

The training and placement cell of the University has been incorporated with the sole objective of minimizing the gap between industry and academia and giving the students training and exposure through which they can capitalize on every opportunity for placement. There are different time of project given to the student according to the department.

The faculty are extremely experienced and knowledgeable.
For Btech the fees is quite less as compared to the other colleges.

Dislikes

No social life or anything which would help us relax.
The only thing that matters is study. Few professor are very rude to the students

Internships Opportunities:

If you are a hardworking student then you will surely get internships but if not then you won't. Taking about the internships you will get only paid training. But like I said if you work hard you will get selected for internships and for jobs easily.

Internships Opportunities:

I got an opportunity to intern as Radio Jockey from Radio Salesian, Darjeeling and it was of one month, unpaid but I learned a lot from my stay there. Secondly, I got an internship in The Sentinel, a newspaper Guwahati branch, to intern as a content writer, so both of these were unpaid but was really helpful to me. I recorded 2 shows for the radio station and went live for a week and as a content writer I wrote job vacancies and articles for the paper.
