- If someone wants to opt for a natural and peaceful environment, far from all those city stuff, it is the best option. As the university is located among the hills of Sonapur, the view is quite breathtaking. It's all green and clean place!
- Whenever the university holds a program, it is done quite well with a perfect planning and organization.
Dislikes
- One thing I don't like is their sport system. The students get to select the participants so there seems to be biased monopoly among them.
- One thing one, the English department HOD lacks on providing any information beforehand so that often leads to confusion and rush among the students
Course Curriculum Overview :
About the course curriculum, I still wonder why they have to put science subjects on the course curriculum of arts students. They would say it's a basic course but it is definitely not. Those arts students came there to learn their main subjects. I think it is unnecessary to put sc subjects there plus it is not basic. Otherwise the main subjects' curriculum is pretty well organised and planned.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fees are expensive. Though the fees decrease as the semester increases. Scholarships, maybe I didn't explore much about this so idk. But they do provide campus employment opportunities a lot as in canteen waiters, PhD students were given the opportunity to teach the students, like that
Campus Life :
They hold programs like department wise festival. Eg. Psychology department food festival (the students os psychology department make sweets or any kind of food to serve the other students as a sign of serving mental health with food). There is a wide range of books in the library and every book related to your course will be available there. Like I said, in their sports system, the Students get to select the candidates or participants sometimes often leads to biased selection. There are many clubs like music club, speaker club, dance club. And this club also hold programs like music festival in which they present a concert with food installation.
Hostel Facilities :
In one room, 4 people have to stay. The room is small though the placement of your property (bed, cupboard, table) are arranged in such a way that you don't feel occupied by them. They provide shower, basin typed bathrooms. And for the food, they don't have a kitchen in hostels. But they have canteens near every hostel blocks. So no pre-payment of foods, you will have to buy the food at the moment and eat. But nothing to be worried about the prices. It's affordable. For thalis, they range 50-100 based on what kind of thali (veg-chicken-pork). The hostel fees for my 1st semester was 20000 but my 2nd sem was 14000. So the fees decrease as the semester increases.
Admission :
The eligibility of the graduation course includes achieving at least 50-60% in 12th and postgraduation course includes achieving 50-60% in your main subject. Their way of application is either online of offline, can do both. Though, they will have a personal interview. This interview is the most important step for you to get selected.
Faculty :
I don't know about this ratio but all I can give a feedback is about the faculty members. Like in every other University, there would be teachers who are flexible but also teachers who fail to impress the students' needs. The psychology teachers of 2nd semester are pretty good at teaching and providing information. They have pretty upto date teachers which is incredibly helping the students in such a better way. The faculty members' way of presenting or teaching is based on presentation with ppt slides.
