- Karimganj College has revised the schedule for the PhD Admission 2024-25. The last date for submission of online application form is Dec 06, 2024. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the Entrance Test and Viva Voca will be on Dec 13,2024 & Dec 14, 2024. Karimganj College was established in 1946 and is currently one of the most renowned colleges under Assam University. In 2010, the college earned the CGPA of 2.78 in 4.0 scale by NAAC and was re-accredited with grade ‘B’. Presently, it offers higher secondary as well as undergraduate courses in all the streams viz. Arts, Science, and Commerce. Besides this, there are also self-financing degree and professional job oriented courses

Admission for undergraduate courses at this college is strictly based on the merits of the students in the last qualifying exam and reservation quota on a first come first serve basis.
The admission committee will publish a list of all selected candidates according to their merit and students need to appear for counselling.

- Student Aid’s Fund: Through this fund, the college helps the financially weak students, depending upon the availability of funds.
- Travel Concession: Travelling concession is provided to the students during college excursions (by rail) under the guidance of a teacher. As per the rules and regulations of IAC, air concession is also provided for traveling from the institution to the home town of the students.

- Library: Apart from the beautiful college premise, the college has also been enriched with a library, which consists of more than 29 thousand books. The library is currently going through the process of computerization. The reading room remains open for the students on all working days, from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm. The library also has an internet facility.
- Cine Club: Established in 2013, the cine-club has been dedicated to bringing entertainment to the students through movies. It has already hosted three International Film Festivals.
- Hostel: There are a total of 30 seats for male students and 20 seats for female students, allotted on the basis of merit and distance.
- Gymnasium and Yoga Centre: In order to maintain the physical and mental health of the students, the college has established well-equipped gym and yoga centers.

Ques. Is there any fee waiver scheme?
- The total family income of the student must be less than 2 lakh per annum.
- Students, whose parents work in the central Govt., State Govt., Semi Govt., or Central or State Govt. undertakings, will not be eligible for the scheme.
- Students have to submit the income certificate of parents duly attested by the Local Revenue Circle Officer.
- Students under the waiver scheme, however, will have to pay for magazine fees, college week fees, and games and sports fess, at the time of admission.

- I liked the quality of teaching of the faculties
- Sometimes they also provide some certificate courses. The faculties were also cooperative.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure could have been improved.
- Poor campus amenities but it isn't a big problem as there are many shops just outside the gate

One need to have at least 60% in 12th do get a major in this course. Application form can be found online with all the required details about the fees and dates. Semester Exams are conducted within a span of six months and internal examinations are also conducted regularly. The admission process has quite improved than before.

This is the only single Government Authorized University in my district. Also it is situated near my home. This college works under the ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR. It has a very lovely campus. This College is very beautiful and the teachers and non-teching staff are very good at all.

Positive remarks are infinite and negative may come from other who are not at the field of education . Positive can be said that Our college never gives the poor students to sit in exam if they are not properly ready and when they are ready they are selected to sit in the exam .
