  • There are no attached washrooms in the hostel rooms
  • The weather is either very hot (It is GOA, ofcourse it is) or it rains heavily

Course Curriculum Overview :

- The overall program is divided in 6 terms, 3 each year. Every term has about 8-9 subjects to be studied. - This is the flagship program of GIM that offers a comprehensive overview of almost every domain in the first year and lets you choose your specialization based on your interest in the 2nd year. - The faculty student ratio here is 1:12 - All the faculties here have completed their PHDs. There is a mix of highly experienced and new faculties. Most of them use case-based learning methods along with theory based lectures. - Exams are conducted twice every term ( Mid-term and End-term exams), they are moderately difficult, can be passed by almost everyone.

Internships Opportunities :

Many Marketing, Finance, Operations, HR and some Consultancy companies come to the campus for the Summer Internship Program. Students are given fair oppoortunities to sit for the process and secure their spots for the internships.

Placement Experience :

The placement record has been 100% for years now. The SIP process begins in the first year and final placement process starts in the early-middle of second year. The highest package went upto 55 Lacs last year, lowest was around 12 Lacs. I plan to take direct placement from the college and start my corporate career.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The major chunk of the structure is tuition fee, followed by hostel fee, mess fee and caution fee. There are scholarship options available but are somewhat difficult to avail. There is a 100% placement record with an average package of around 15 Lacs.

Campus Life :

Life at GIM is little rigorous, but nothing that one can't handle. The campus is beautiful. There are a lot of fests that go on almost every month. Samriddhi is the annual business symposium of GIM, flagship event to be called. There is a library that has a lot of resources and books for everyone, it is accessible 24/7. A lot of clubs that cover a lot of events, this encompasses sports and extra-curricular activities. All the clubs and societies are run by students. Afterall, GIM is a student run campus.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel rooms are non-A/C, double occupancy , with no attached washrooms. (you can pay extra and avail single/AC rooms). Every room has a bed, a cupboard, a study table, a shoe-rack and a small side table for each student. Rent is 1,78,900 for two years. The meal is served 4 times a day that includes breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. We have night canteen that is open till 4 A.M, but it is paid. The quality of the food is good, better than most of the hostels, they serve good variety daily. The campus is a closed campus so it is mandatory for everyone to stay in the hostels ONLY. The registration for the same is done during admission process, no separate process is required.

Admission :

Steps of admission process were as follows: 1. Minimum 50% aggregate in Bachelor's Degree 2. Clear cutoff of CAT(approx 85%ile)/XAT(approx 80%ile)/GMAT/CMAT respectively (any one is enough) *They also have an Achiever's Round 3. Shortlisting based on overall academic background 4. Written Ability Test (WAT) - Basic opinion on some random topic is asked, fully proctored 5. Online Interview - Checks basic intellect, general awareness, concept clarity 6. Admission Letter ALL THE NECESSARY DETAILS RELATED TO THE ADMISSION PROCESS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF GIM In my opinion, the selection process is rigourous enough, I was asked only relevant questions and tasks to do throughout. It sufficiently checked my academic rigor and general awareness along with basic communiaction skills. Only thing that i think can be improved is communication from the side of the college, after the interview you are left clueless for a very long time. Otherwise, it is designed well.

Interview Experience :

There was a Written Ability Test, followed by a Personal Interview. WAT had 3 options from which I had to choose one and write on it. The topic I chose was related to pressure at workplace. PI had two panel members, one of them asked me practical questions related to academics and tested my basic general knowlege along with general awareness. The other one enquired about my hobbies, extra-curricular activities, skills and interests. I prepared for these rounds with TIME coaching. Alongside that, I continued to revise the previously studies subjects and kept updated with the trending news.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of its non-specific focus on a single component it covers human resource management as well as finance management & operation management. Faculty : student ratio is around 1:10 Some faculty here are from top-tier institutes like IIM Ahmedabad and others have vast industry experience. Term Exam are held in timely fashion and because of relative grading it's comparatively difficult to pass than under graduate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing GIM's PGDM was a strategic move for me. The curriculum is dynamic, constantly evolving to reflect current business trends. Core courses in finance, marketing, and strategy provide a strong foundation, while electives let you specialize in areas like analytics, entrepreneurship, or sustainability. Plus, the faculty-student ratio of around 1:15 ensures personalized attention. Professors are industry veterans and academic thought leaders, bringing real-world expertise to the classroom. Their diverse qualifications – doctorates from top global universities, industry experience with MNCs and startups – enrich the learning experience. Teaching methods are interactive, with case studies, simulations, and guest lectures keeping things engaging. Term exams were generally on schedule, with a two-week window for preparation. Difficulty varies depending on the course and professor, but thorough preparation and utilizing faculty guidance ensured I passed comfortably.
