Appeared through CAT and I got 94.6%ile. Then, I got shortlisted for GD/PI. Usually cutoff is around 92%ile. After appearing for GD/PI I got offer for PGDM- Banking and Financial Services. Batch size is around 750.

After that you need to register for the IMT admission process through https://www.imt.edu/ portal, where you can find all the details regardingadmissions, courses and fees. You shoud have atleast 60% and above grade in 10th, 12th and undergraduation. IMT also have scholarship for women students which is 25% of the total fees.

Step 1 is about basic data of your profile 10th 12th workex, GPA etc Step 2 The admission process was through CAT and XAT. I had given both the exams and had a better score in XAT. There is eligibility of 90 percentile for CAT and XAT. The eligibility requirements are a bachelors degree and the appropriate CAT/XAT score The application form is found on the IMT Ghaziabad website and the fees is around 1500 Rs while dates occur twice, once during December and then during January. Reservation: Since this is a private college so no reservation benefits. However scholarship exams exist which can provide respite. The admission process was very smooth. The college accepts relevant CAT, XAT and GMAT scores. I secured my shortlist after submitting my CAT score. Post filling up the online form available on the college website, during the month of January and submitting the required fees which was approxiimately around Rs. 2500, I receieved my shortlist for a written aptitude test. The topic was given on the spot and the duration of the written test was 30 minutes, which was to be completed in one sitting. After clearing the test, I received an online meeting link for a personal interview which lasted for 20 minutes. Normally, the institute conducts the interview and the written test at a designated centre, however the Covid-19 pandemic shifted the entire process online. All in all, it was a very smooth experience!

IMT Ghaziabad was considered one of the best B Schools in the early 2000 or the late 90s.In recent years, it has witnessed a slight decline in its quality of education. This stems from the increment in the batch size thereby declining the talent pool of candidates. The CAT cutoff was reduced to attract more and more candidates. This resulted in substandard crowds and low competition. Another reason was the previous director whose major aim was to earn money.
Recently again though IMT Ghaziabad is gaining fame because of its new director Dr. Atish Chattopadhyay who is managing the institution excellently. He has reduced the students intake and increased the cutoff. He is constantly working towards improving the lost image of the institution.
