Remarks :

My rank is 6132. So I got a cse seat in IIT Mandi easily. I have obc reservation so got a seat according to it. Application form present on the official site of jee. The date of the paper is announced in November.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am interested in tech and also most people do engineering for money. The faculty-student ratio was nearly 1 faculty member on 5 students. Most of the faculty staff have PhD degrees. The exam was moderate level.

Class Size : 300Course Fees : INR 130000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

You have to do an internship in your 3rd year because some credits are associated with it. Many companies came here for on-campus internships. The maximum came for tech-based student interns. For that some tests they conducted and then take your interview. For passing the test you required good coding skills and for passing the interview, your communication skills and projects have to be good.

Placement Experience :

Companies came in 4th year for hiring students so in the 8th semester hiring started. Various companies are visited here like Microsoft, sprinkle, uber Google, amazon etc. The highest domestic package is around 70,00,000 and the lowest around 10,00,000 for CSE students. Around 98 percentage students got placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The per semester fee was 130000 and the amount was reduced if you avail of any kind of scholarship. Scholarships are on the basis of your parent's income. If your parent's income is less than 1 lakh then your tuition fee was totally removed. Female students got 1k per month.

Campus Life :

Various fest is conducted like xpecto which is a tech fest ruvaan as a literary fest xodia as a culture fest utkarsh for beginners etc. Various clubs are here where you increase your talent and learnt new things. Clubs like dance, music, programming, robotronic etc are here.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel was good enough as you expected. Normal facilities as all hostels are provided are the same here. A washing machine, fridge, and induction were also provided. Heaters are given for rent in winter. The meal was not the same as your home food but you can eat it. Hostels are provided by the institution.

Hostel Fee : INR 30000 per year

NIT Hamirpur Review

Placement Experience:

The college provides a quite decent placement. This year highest package was 2 Cr and previous year highest package was 1.73 Cr . More than 40 companies visited.Top recruiters were Samsung ,CRED, Syska,Croma,Oracle , Accenture etc. More than 80 percent students get placed and after my degree I am also thinking of getting placed .

Placement Experience:

The placement drive begins from the beginning of 7th semester for the four year bachelor's programs. The average package offered in my stream .i.e. Mechanical engineering is about 8-9 lakhs per year. The placements depend upon the students knowledge and grades. And the placement percentage of college is above 75%.

Like from the the 7th semester we are eligible to sit in placement process. Companies like vegazva, khanna paper mill, shree cement etc. companies visited in campus. And the highest package as like i mentioned the company visited in campus giving us 4lpa for 2-3 years then it is increased as per the candidate performance.

A realistic experience at NIT Hamirpur

Campus placement is now going to boost In JNGEC from the last 4 years. Students are eligible from the last year of their graduation for the placement. Some of the students were already placed during their Vocational training time.
