Remarks :

An IIT is known for its science and tech programs. After i got my scores in JEE Advanced exam, i decided to go for IIT Kanpur since all of my cousins studied there and are now placed in good companies. Institute only accepts online applications with an admission fee of Rs. 150. The admission criteria states that a student needs to clear JEE advance after 12th standard and sit for the interview round before final admissions.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Physics is vast and interesting subject but the course curriculum set by the professors here is highly engaging. Practical work is of utmost importance for the final examinations and for the credits. Guest speakers are also invited for some very informative sessions and seminars. The faculty members of the institute are highly professional and well experienced in the field of teaching. They are all Ph.D scholars in their specific fields.

Course Fees : INR 205000 per year

Placement Experience :

In the former year, placements were exceptional. Highest international CTC went to Rs. 2.06 CPA and highest domestic CTC was Rs. 1.2 CPA. 287 recruiters participated in the placements including Infosys, ICICI Bank, Axtria, EXL, Goldman Sachs, OLA. Google and Microsoft also offered some attractive packages for domestic profiles at the institute. Companies from sectors such as Healthcare, E-commerce, Logistics, Financial Services, and various other domains offered job roles to the students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The cost structure for this course is expensive and thus many students go for the scholarship option. Rs. 8.30 lakhs is the total fee for the entire duration of the course. Banks offer an educational loan on lower rate of interest. INSPIRE scholarship, Sports scholarship, Kunta Jha Scholarship, Shanti and Ramkishore Sahai Saxena Memorial Scholarship are the scholarships provided by the institute for the students.

Campus Life :

Life of a student studying in an IIT is always hectic and interesting. The events and seminars organized by the campus officials are always interesting and fun to watch. Till now, i have attended all the seminars and guest lectures. In some free time, we roam around in the campus or play sports in the ground. Infrastructure of the campus is also good and huge. Latest resources are available in the campus.

All about Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur

Placement Experience:

The placement statistics of IITK is great. Every year many 1cr+ packages as well as international packages are offered by top companies to students. The placement percentage is also increasing every year. The students become eligible to apply for companies after 3rd year ie. after 6th semester. The highest package offered was 4cr per annum while the average package was 22lacs per annum. My plan after getting the degree is to get a good paying job and start working.

There campus placements are very impressive. But in our branch the placement have not been started because it is new branch but it have very promising hopes of good employment in the upcoming years. The optimistic IITian

Placement Experience:

The college offers various placement opportunities. Many companies come and take people. It's usually starts in the month of December in the final year. I can tell about my branch average package is 33 lakhs and about some 90 lakh is highest package. Various tech non teach companies come like Google, Microsoft, sprinkler etc The minimum salary offered is 6 lakh per annum. People can easily get placement outside college because of IIT tag.

Course is relevant but it maybe little bit hectic in starting. Maths courses are lot theoretical than JEE where you only have to calculate and no matter how. Here you have to write a mathematical essay on a question and essay should be to the point too

The LIFE IN IIT KANPUR

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college is very impressive.From 3rd year onwards students are eligible campus placement.The Students having CPI 7 ARE eligible for campus placements , they wil not see only academics,they will also see in which they have participated,what are they capable in college programs in achieving, does he have leadership qualities or not , these many things they observe while doing campus placements . There are many companies visited to our campus, i will mention some of them like Google, Amazon, Zomato, Microsoft, TCS , ETC... In each branch nearly 150 to 200 offers are made .In my college the last year highest package is 8.9 crores and the average pakage is above 35 lakhs .The percentage of students getting campus placements is 89percentage .And my plan is getting the job in campus placements

Life after JEE

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course as i loved mathematics. And i was eligible to take this course on the basis of jee rank. The faculty student ratio is about 11.This is a top tier institute in India and hence the faculty are highly qualified with post doctorate degrees in thier respective domain from well known universities.They teach in asuch a way that ignites my curiosity in that course.We are taught some courses out of our discipline so we can explore more things.Mid sem exams are held after 2 months of starting of semester followed by end sems after other two months.quizes are held on certain dates keeping into consideration the convenience of students as well as the faculties.
