Remarks :
College management is also good. They listen to students. Try to resolve the issues students may have.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is great. I am in Economics department. But it's not very theoritical as it sounds. You use engineering tools and mathematics to study things. I have got placed in an investment bank for analyst profile. I believe my knowledge about coding and econometrics helped me get the placement.
Placement Experience :
Almost 90% people get placed out of all who appear for placements. Internships are also great, people appear for internships in their prefinal year.
College Events :
We have our own Technical, Cultural and Sports festivals. We invite students from all over India to participate in our festival. Maby competitions and workshops are held in the college and participants are given certificate and prize money accordingly.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Expensive in comparison to other colleges I guess. But it's totally worth it. Many facilities are available in our college. Yeah we have transparency in the fee-breakdown. Even health insurance is involved in the fee. No extra charges to secure an admission to the course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Education loan from SBI bank. SBI banks generally give IIT students loan easily. We have bank branch in our college itself and getting loan from the bank is easy.
Campus Life :
In our batch boys vs girls ratio was 13:1. We enjoyed it as there is equal opportunity for both genders. We have many clubs in our college and they are just great. Some clubs have even represented India in different competitions held outside our country.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes. Most students have to be in hostel. Hostel rooms are good. Hostel charges is included in the admission fee. <1500 rs per month for rent and mess charges have to be paid separately. Food quality is great.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network is good. There is a lot of funding from their side and some scholarships are in their name. They are helpful if we need some opportunities in their companies or for research they advice people where to go, how to apply. So yeah they are very helpful.
Admission :
Admission is through JEE entrance. JEE mains and then advanced. You have to go through counseling. There are generally three rounds of counselling before you lock final choice. Jee mains - in April. Advanced- May. Counseling- June- July. You have to give preference for college and courses for counselling.
Faculty :
40 lectures generally in a course in a semester. Average age can be 40-45 I guess. They are highly qualified. Most of them have done PhD from foreign universities. And they have published a lot of research papers. So basically professors are generally oriented for research.
