Remarks :

A threshold of 75% ( CBSE Board) in the 12th standard must be satisfied. JEE applications can be found online on JEE website. Reservations are provided using the reservation quota (27% for OBC, 50% for General, and the rest is divided in SC, ST, and Pwd) and can be availed using your rank in your category. Reservations must be based on a central government catalog.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course is mainstream in Physics and supports research in the field. There is about 40-50 staff in the Physics department. All the faculty are Ph.D. scholars in relevant topics A term is 4 months long including all the exams (midterm and end-term). Courses are relatively fast and especially pace up in the second half of the semester. Focus on learning is low and academic load is high.

Internships Opportunities :

All sorts of companies visit campus for internship opportunities. The amount offered can vary from unpaid to 1.5 lakh per month. Did not do an internship so don't have a lot of ideas about their projects.

Placement Experience :

You can sit in placements starting from the seventh semester. A huge amount of companies visit and it boasts 100% placements for those who sit in placements. The highest packages reach up to 20 million INR per annum, the average package lies around 800000 pa, 99% of students who sit for placements get placed. Not sure. My options are MTech in Data Science or a job in the same field. Depends on the salary offered.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee hikes are timely and dependent on budgets and decided by UGAC. Cost is higher than other government colleges in India but the facilities provided are ample. I did not sit in on-campus placements. I was not eligible for any of the scholarships. Scholarships generally require an ITR of less than 5 lakh per annum which I did not qualify for.

Campus Life :

The cultural festival is Mood Indigo, and the technical festival is TechFest. Both were carried in Dec pre covid. Books related to courses are available in the required quantity, books related to literature are also there but do not expect to find anything you randomly pick. Classrooms are well ventilated and comfortable. Teachers teach using presentations as well as onboard. Ppts are shared on moodle for assistance. A lot of extracurriculars happen here covering a wide variety of activities. Indoor courts, swimming pool, gymkhana ground all are active at all times of the academic year. Some social groups are Rang, Vaani, BBC, Pixels, Style up, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Rooms are small and have to be shared with a roommate. You can choose one year, either third or fourth, for single occupancy. Rooms have fans, light, and LAN facilities. Meal quality is average in taste but fulfills nutritional needs. Hostels are automatically assigned and payments are done separately from the tuition fees. Pretty affordable and very cheap compared to the city.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester itself. Last year a ton of companies visited the campus right from TCS, Infosys, and Accenture to ZS associates, Veritas, etc. There is a good opportunity for nontech branches also in the college, the package is not high but it is good. According to the college, almost 78% of students got the placements. The highest packages were 45 LPA Amazon, 44 LPA Microsoft, and 36.5 LPA D.E.Shaw. The majority of the placements above 12 LPA were off campus, few were on campus. My plans after getting a degree are to be placed in good company with a good package

Course Curriculum Overview:

All the students are given electives to choose and we also have the compulsory courses too, common for all. The electives could be chosen based on varied interests of students and are very engaging. The compulsory courses are chosen and kept very wisely and are essential for computer science and engineering students. The courses and evaluation plans are very well created and curated for students to be able to solve real world problems too later in professional and personal lives. There aren't much suggestions and areas to improve as of now. Exams and tests are conducted almost every two weeks. This keeps the students keen on learning and practicing all the while and doesn't let them slag in between the semester. The exams are monitored from the headquarters at Pune, and hence all is kept under check and maintained.

Placement Experience:

As our college provides placement on our Campuses the opportunity to grab placement is quite simple but not much as there is competition among 3 colleges, although the maximum students who get placed through campus placements, is around 60%.
