Nothing bad is there about IIT Bombay. it's once of the premier Institute in India and always it will be

Course Curriculum Overview :

The master's curriculum is research-oriented with a focus on new development and technology of the leading world. most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders from foreign universities of countries like the USA Germany UK.their focus is always on learning new techniques.the faculties encourage us to take difficult topics for our research to develop our skills and to guide us to pursue higher studies in foreign universities

Placement Experience :

One of the best placements in India. the avg package this year was 22 lac per annum which is the highest for engineering college.

College Events :

Biggest technical festival tech-fest.mood Indigo with a footfall of 1.5 lac people.other various festivals sports events and many more. you can find at least 1 major event going on inside campus every month. also currently movie named chichore did his shooting inside the campus

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For b.tech it's a bit expensive as total fees for 4 year goes around 15 lac including all costs like hostel mess other expenses. but that's worth to placements and life you enjoy Inside campus where as fees for m.tech is around 1.8 lac for 2 years which is least across all Institute in India

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I haven't opted for any loan as my fees are paid from the stipend which I get during my MTech.I get a stipend of 12500 per month so I can my fees and manage other expenses from that stipend

Campus Life :

Gender diversity can be guessed from the fact that IIT Bombay has 15 boys hostels and 3 girls hostel only. you can find around 20% of girls in UG courses wherein PG courses the percentage is almost 5 or less. still, that is the max you can expect from IIT Bombay. rest IIT has various events activities to keep students the busy whole year

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I am staying in a hostel even though my home is in Andheri's new airport and it's 30 min. Away from IIT Bombay. because of the life which you get to live in the IIT hostel, you can't find it anywhere else. the hostel rent is around 10 thousand for 6 months and mess charges are around 14 thousand which include 4-time unlimited food. the hostel room for first-year students is double sharing whereas other students get single sharing rooms.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

One of the best alumni networks IIT Bombay has.it has separate alumina centre where you can get details about alumni not just working in India or foreign countries also you can get details for alumni studying in various universities across the globe

Admission :

Admission happens through the gate exam merit list. the gate is an exam conducted by old IITs each year. where around 8 lac students appear for the exam out of which only 16% could clear the exam. in that most, top ranks get admission in IIT through the gate. top 1% of all people who give exams mostly get admitted in the IIT Bombay.

Faculty :

IIT Bombay has around 900 professors with almost all of them are Ph.D. holders. their average age is about 45-50 years with a mixture of experienced professors and some young passionate hound researchers. most of the old faculties have worked in foreign companies and then they joined IIT as a lecturer.

Till now the college have a decent placement record of 100% all the student get placed with maximum core package of 10.5LPA and average package of 6LPA. If one not get placement through college then many faculties have links in different MNCs and with the name of VNIT anyone easily recruits.

After the 1st year in 3rd semester you are eligible for placement. In 3nd semester you are eligible for internship also. Almost 98% student are placed this year with package 7.5 lac per annum. Heights package was 14 lpa and lowest was 6 lpa. All are placed in core company.

My MTech Story

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible for the campus placement..Indian institute of technology Bombay is one of the most renowned institute in India. Campus placement is excellent here.because it is the no 1 IIT .on an average 8-10 lakh package is normal in iits.some exceptional talents get upto 2crore per year salary.in structural engineering course every year around 90 percentage students get placement incampus and rest are generally not interested in campus placement as they are more focused in higher education like PhD.
