Remarks :

Our college is a well reputed institution in our city and university. It has got the NAAC A+ grade recently for my course and assists us in all our endeavors.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum and exam structure is currently based on the University of Mumbai guidelines and pattern. We have end semester examinations which are mostly curated from books and numericals from research. The curriculum is moderately tamed for industry specifications which sometimes does pose a problem. On-campus placements are fairly good but require a lot of external training. Industrial visits are organized few times a year by the college to various IT industries.

Placement Experience :

Our placement cell is very active and helps out students in getting placed at well reputed companies. Internship fairs are also held regularly. I personally, though, have not taken internship from my college, due to me applying externally. The average percentage of students placed in our college is around 70%. The placement cell takes care to train us very well for various stages of placement.

College Events :

Our college has an annual fest called Alegria, the festival of joy. It is usually held in the month of February. It is the largest organized college fest in Navi Mumbai. Many more technical and cultural fests such as hackathons, cultural days, etc are held regularly to motivate students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure for my course is on par the fees of other colleges around us. My college accepts both offline and online payment methods. Most of the students dont need to be paying additional fees for securing admission into my college. Yes the college provides a transparent breakdown of fees paid.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have not opted for any scholarship or education loans for this course, but there are various government schemes such as tuition fee waiver scheme which can be availed by students with family income below Rs 500000 pa.

Campus Life :

The campus ethos of our college remains very optimistic, with plethora of extracurricular activities happening everyday in various branches of the campus. The gender ratio of female to Male is around 40:60. Many competitions such as hackathons are held regularly in the college.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni of our college are well placed in many prominent MNCs. The seniors of our college are very helpful in helping us to understand various aspects of the course and college

Admission :

I got admission into this college via MH-CET entrance examination held by Maharashtra Government. We have to first appear for this exam and once the scores are received, CAP rounds are held for the admission process. For the process we have to fill forms online and select various colleges according to our scores. Once the college is allocated, depending on marks obtained, we have to go to college to secure our admission by submitting our documents and pay the fees.

Faculty :

The faculty of our college are very helpful and research oriented. In my course, around 50 teachers are teaching students for my course. The median age of those teachers can be anywhere between 25-30 and most of them are well qualified professional post graduates, some have industry experience. The software oriented teachers are more inclined towards building real time projects while the hardware teachers try to make us understand the working of modern day hardware.

Talking about placements, most of the placements occurs in CSE and IT branch, but surprisingly in the Government College of Engineering Aurangabad, the Mechanical branch has the same placements comparatively just the fact is that the package is less.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Placement Experience:

Students are encouraged to take internships from the moment they are confident and can handle responsibility. They are eligible for placements after semester 4. Approximately 60+ companies visit the campus every year and they take an average of 4-5 offers. For instance, the highest package can be 40+lpa from Microsoft. 90-100% placements happen every year. My plan after getting the degree is to acquire a placement and work with the organization.
