NPCIL recruitment through GATE 2024 started on April 10, 2024. Eligible candidates with GATE 2024 results can apply till April 30, 2024. The Executive Trainee post will be open for Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, and Civil disciplines. Eligible candidates should possess BE/B Tech/B Sc (Engineering)/5-year Integrated M Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.

Interested candidates meeting the eligibility criteria, can also apply online with respective GATE scores for 2022 and 2023 academic year. A shortlisted one will be required to appear for an interview round. If more than one student achieves the same cut-off marks of GATE 2024, everyone will be called for the interview process.

PwD categories will be shortlisted separately by applying a 1:12 ratio in each disability category for which vacancies are reserved. The qualifying mark set for the interview is 70% for the general category and 60% set for reserved categories. This year, the total vacancies (including current and backlog) available for NPCIL recruitment through GATE is 400 for Executive Trainee posts.

The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited, or NPCIL, is responsible for designing, constructing, commissioning, and operating nuclear power reactors. The selected candidates will undergo one year of orientation training with a monthly stipend of INR 55,000. Post-completion of training, the Executive Trainee will be appointed as Scientific Officer/C in Group 'A' with a lucrative package of INR 56,100. Except for remuneration, one can get 50% of the Dearness Allowance pay. One can also receive transport allowance, house rent, incentives, gratuity, etc.

• Shortlisting of candidates for personal interview for the posts of Executive Trainee 2023 will be done in the order of merit drawn based on valid GATE 2022/2023/2024. If there is more than 01 candidate with the same cutoff mark (while shortlisting for interview), then all the candidates with the same mark will be shortlisted for interview.
• 'Persons with Benchmark Disabilities' (PwBDs), will be shortlisted separately by applying a 1:12 ratio in each disability category for which vacancies are reserved.
• Discipline and category-wise cut-off shall be displayed on the recruitment web portal of NPCIL. Result of shortlisting for interview shall be made available to candidates under the “Application Status” link

Selected candidates are required to execute an agreement, a personal indemnity bond for INR 6,78,000 and a service bond to serve NPCIL for at least three years after successful completion of training. No third-party surety is required. The bond amount comprises 12 months stipend i.e., INR 55,000 plus One Time Book Allowance i.e., INR 18,000.
