CUET to be Conducted Twice a Year?
UGC or University Grants Commission, in a recent notification will allow higher education institutions to admit students twice a year from the upcoming academic session. Earlier, students were only admitted during July-August, now students can be admitted in both January-February and July-August Session.
UGC, in its statement also mentioned that this biannual admissions are not mandatory and it is upto the institutions to follow it. It is worth noting that, as of now, no clear indication has been as this will be followed for CUET Exam as well or not.
UGC Decision in line with Foreign Varsities?
Biannual Admissions are followed by Universities all over the world as it allows students two chances plus fosters dual intakes for foreign exchange students. UGC chief Jagadesh Kumar in a statement said- "Universities worldwide already follow a biannual admission system. If Indian HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) adopt the biannual admission cycle, our HEIs can enhance their international collaborations and student exchanges. As a result, our global competitiveness will improve, and we will align with the global educational standards,"
With the introduction of National Education Policy in 2020, a centralised system was introduced to offer admissions with one central exam. But it took two years to be implemented by Delhi University and 3 years for rest of the central universities. With this, it might take some time for biannual admissions to be implemented for CUET.

The percentile in an exam like PGUCET is a measure of how a student’s score compares to other students who took the same exam. It’s calculated based on the number of students who scored less than or equal to a particular score.
However, the exact percentile for a raw score of 250 in Psychology in PGUCET can vary from year to year, as it depends on the distribution of scores among all the test-takers in that particular year.
As a general reference, in some exams like CUET PG, a score above 200 can get you a percentile between 70 to 90. But please note that this is just a reference and may not directly apply to PGUCET.
For the most accurate information, you should refer to the official PGUCET resources or contact the exam conducting authority. They may provide a score-to-percentile conversion chart or similar resources.
Remember, your percentile rank is not just determined by your raw score, but also how your score compares to the scores of other test-takers. So, even if two students have the same raw score, their percentiles might be different if they took the test in different years with different groups of test-takers.

It’s important to thoroughly check the syllabus and pattern of the CUET UG test for the subjects you choose. This will help you prepare effectively for the test.
