Placement Experience:

The placement at IITD is excellent. Various renowned companies like Intel, Microsoft, Softbank, ST Microelectronics, Facebook and others take students from IITD with exemplary salary packages. Actually the vibrant culture that IITD has very well and from.very early prepares one for the placement interviews and examinations.

Internships Opportunities:

There are a lot of internships available in IITD for Btech and Mtech students in summer and winter both. IIITD very profoundly advertises for the same and it is a great opportunity for those who want to get the feel of IITs to apply for these internships and have an opportunity to learn and enrich their skills.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee structure of the VNIT for Research Scholars that is PhD is affordable which is Rs. 12500 per semester. The institute has also a stipend scheme for the PhD scholars. The stipends are of different amounts for different scheme admitted students. The regular PhD scholars get Rs. 31000 per month for the first two years and then for the next two years they get Rs. 35000 per month. The QIP Research Scholars get a stipend of Rs. 15000 per month for three years. Apart from this if the students joined in the JRF or SRF schemes then they get stipend or scholarship of various amounts which depends upon the Project cost. These scholars get an opportunity to attend Campus placements and they get jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exams are one of the main processes of assessing the students and scholars in any school or college. The term exams are timely as per the Academic calendar published at the beginning of every semester or academic year. The term exams are conducted with a given timetable so that every student should be aware of the course exams well in advance. The exams or question papers are framed in such a way that every student gets a chance to pass, score and Excell. The questions include some easy questions, some mediocre questions and a few difficult questions to assess advanced learners. Easy questions are for slow learners. The exams are timely and appropriate to pass.

Placement Experience:

I completed My bachelor's as well as masters from the same college, I remember I got a package of 24 LPA when I sat for campus placement after BTech but I continued to do master's instead of getting a job two years later when I completed my MTech, WIPRO offered my 50 LPA as a Junior Executive in Bangalore branch, but I still discarded that and decided to do PhD in the same subject, this is my last year and I am hoping it will be completed by this year, then I will apply to be a lecturer at any IIT then only my childhood dream of being a teacher will come true.

Campus Life:

The Campus Life at The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur is very exciting and teaches a whole new way to live life. Every year new students come with a lot of Aspirations and dreams to Open Big Startups or to get jobs in their dream companies. The library at IITKNP is huge and contains every book that one can need there, you can issue 5 at a time. Extracurricular activities are the backbone of One's Personality, Which are highly Practised there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had joined in the Instrumentation and Control Systems (ICS) specialization (MTech) of the EE department and then moved towards Control Systems during my PhD. The teacher student ratio in PG courses is mostly in the ratio of 1:20. Most of the teachers evaluate their students on a continuous basis through various assignments to assess their level of understanding. The institute is extremely punctual as far as exams are concerned and scoring is difficult for certain specializations such as ICS.

Remarks:

I had joined NITC calicut way back in 2014 for my MTech and then continued with my PhD program in the same college. I joined this college because it has a very well equipped lab for control systems specialization which was something I was looking forward to back then. The pros about the college is that everything is very systematic which is also quite annoying at times as there is severe penalty for breaking the rules.

I had completed M.Tech from IIT Roorkee. Now, I wanted to take admission in Ph.D. for Ph.D. admission, every reputed college (generally) had eligibility criteria M.Tech and gate qualified. And they use to conduct a self-written exam followed by an interview. My GATE score was 546 and rank was 2995 in Gate 2015. I applied in IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur and MNNIT Allahabad.

Placement Experience:

Placement of B.Tech and M.tech courses students are quite good, because they are heir by IT companies. but Ph.D. placements varies time to time. Here, colleges (colleges from North India) come for placements and according to your skills and background education, and paper published, they offer packages. Average Ph.D. students get offer for 50000 per month.
