How to prepare for the PhD Mechanical Engineering entrance test?

Entrance tests are a mandatory part of the admission process of some of the most popular Universities in India. In order to secure your place in that particular college/ university, you need to score well in the admission test. So, here are a few preparation tips for you.

  • You must know your syllabus properly. This is the first and the most basic step of preparation. Until and unless you are not familiar with the syllabus, you will not be able to get a good score in the entrance test.
  • Know the examination patterns and the type of questions that are frequently asked in the examination. In most cases, you will have to face multiple-choice questions. So, you must practise such questions to make yourself familiar with the examination pattern
  • Try to get a rough idea about the number of questions that you must answer in order to secure a good rank in the examination. This strategy will definitely help you to get a good rank in the entrance test.
  • Put more focus on the important sections as these are the sections from where questions are asked more frequently. While you are revising the chapters, you must concentrate on these sections.
  • Practise questions from sample papers and previous years’ question papers. Here, we have provided a few links to the previous year’s question papers and the sample papers. This will help you in your preparations.
  • Do not stress out. Any kind of stress will act as a hindrance and prevent you from acquiring a good score in the entrance test. Be confident about your preparations.

There are multiple fest in campus being organized every yr including Zeitgeist, arohan etc. Almost after every three months. There is not much range but yeah almost for every engg subject and also not much in qty. Provisions include term-end project, assignments, quizzes and 75 attendance. The interIIT covers many sports and arohan calls nearby institutions to compete with iitropar. Many clubs like alpha production, Arturo etc. And pehchan ek safar NGO

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. But not God for some departments. Many companies like Tata, google, Mahindra, skyroot, spacefield, Vikash group etc. Offer of 35 lac for google. Google 35lac, Vikash group 7 lac and the average for the total could be 8 lac for all departments. 70% Students get placed and some go for start-up and higher studies

Remarks:

I have been fortunate enough that I got the opportunity to do all my higher education from an institution like IIT Patna, after my B.Tech & then M.Tech in M.E I decided to opt for the doctoral Programme in the same branch. Obviously being an IIT the experience here has been amazing, and the recent 47th overall and 21st B.Tech position in NIRF's rankings tell very well about the quality here. The institute is also given accreditation from highly popular firms and has been given National Importance. Admissions to PhD here are done as per entrance score and Interview performance.
