Remarks :

Best thing is that we do get all the information through institute email, college management is very helpful they don't force you in unnecessary paperwork or permission stuff. The only thing that i lack in the institute is that unavailability of single room in the hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview :

PhD is a self learing course, institute offers a well established labs and qualified faculty which is main requirement of course. Institute doesn't put extra burden on students, TA duty assigned to the scholars are not hectic and as per capability of scolars.

Placement Experience :

All the leading companies such as Google, Microsoft, General Electronic etc visit in our campus, recruitment process is as per direction of hrs of company, approximately all the ug amd pg students get placed but placement is not effective for PhD student.

College Events :

Institute host the one of the biggest technical and cultural fest among all the IITs, Kashiyatra is the biggest cultural fest among all the IITs, sapardha is the biggest sport event, Technex is the technical fest hosted by the institute. All the fest have very active participation of the all the students of institute and students from various IITs and NITs.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee stucture of IIT BHU is very feasible for Phd course, all the payment have to be done online through SBI collect. If one has opted hostel then additional advance mess fee have to paid and the receipt is to be submitted in the respective department and hostel office.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

In Phd you will be getting stipend if you will be having valid gate score. Stipend amout get revised time to time as per ugc.

Campus Life :

IIT BHU have a very good green campus, we do have good gender ratio, IIT share its campus with BHU, varanasi is a religious place but IIT campus is having very pleasant and good friendly environment, their is no time limit for boys and girls hostel. IIT library is also open for all the students for 24 hrs.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes i have opted hostel, new hostel are having good rooms while the old hostels are having good garden with smaller rooms. Their is no single room, rooms are provided on sharing basis double or tripple.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, alumni are are very helpful. We do get proper assistant and help time to time from our seniors. Our seniors are well settled in various company and institute across the globe, which is vry helpful for us.

Admission :

IIT BHU is one of the best institute in india for research. One should have a valid GATE score card for applying, after application process which is likely to take place in the month of march, institute take its written test and interview for phd admission in April.

Faculty :

Faculty of our institute are renowned accross the globe, you can visit college website to check the area of interest of all the faculty as per your requirement, faculty take proper classes but as per PhD requirements every faculty is very helpful and cooperative in the course work.

If I have to rate my college then I will give 9 out of 10. I deducted one star because of issie i.e hostel single seat to students. Otherwise college provide everything to students at their places. I love my college.

Remarks:

Campus is very good, greenery everywhere. Location of institute is near ganga river, just 1 km away from campus. there is health centre facility and BHU hospital. I have one regret, i.e hostel and mess facility. Institute management should pay more attention on infrastructure and better facility as per IITs standard.

Entrance Preview:

GATE, 96 percentile, this college provides perfect environment for research students. Faculty of the Civil Engineering department is compatible in all new research.

Placement Experience:

After completion of the PhD almost every student got the job opportunities. Mainly most of students are got job in the different Universities and Colleges. Here minimum package for the PhD students starts from 10 to 12 lakh per year. Some of the student also prefer to go in the research areas.
