Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Indian student has to pay around 15,00,000to 20,00,000 fees for four years. Following is the detailed fee structure: Annual tuition fee : 420000 Hostel fees : 130000-135000 Security deposit : 10000 There are various scholarships at Manipal university such as merit based scholarships , and need based scholarship. The fee was little less in first year but has increased for second year and will remain same for next two years
Likes
- Since it is located in the rural town of manipal, the air quality is nice
- It is mainly a college city so all the activities around are kept in consideration with the students in mind
Dislikes
- The connectivity is a little bit of an issue since the flights are only to major cities
- The rains. It rains a lot during the monsoons and sometimes it is unbearable
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The fees for first year btech is the same for every student at around 3 lakh 70 thousand. From second year onwards the fees is dependent on the pursued branch for example, fees for ECE is around 5 lakhs and for it is the same for computer science branches. For streams like Civil it is slightly lower than that. There are certain scholarships:- 1) For people with annual house income less than 8lakhs p.a the fees is about 1lakh 90 thousand each year 2) For students who received good rank in the MET exam they are provided with full tuition fees off given they maintain 8.5 CGPA

- I liked the campus and the culture around very much and the facilities the college is providing.
- Labs and the academic section is well maintained and very professional.
Dislikes
- Teaching all subjects in the first year.
- 75% attendance criteria is kind of worst
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
414000 fees per anum in that 400000 is the tution fees and 10000 is the caution fees and the 4000 is lab fees admission fees was 10000 and most of my batchmates have similar kind of fees structure. If you get above 8.5cgpa you will get 25% scholarship.

- Faculties are experienced, researcher are great
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Approximately 20 lakh is the fees It also depends on the branch you're choosing also there are few scholarships available like the aictc and another is for the branch toppers. Also the avg pakage stands some where around 15 lakh per annum

- nothing there such to dislike but mostly raining
- the only concern is about 75% attendence
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
My annual fee is 4,85,000 there will be caution deposit of ?15,000. There is no any compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category like management or SC or ST. There is no any such categories in fee payment.

- The campus is beautiful with amazing infrastructure and facilities
- The faculty know their subjects well and are able to tech them

- No holidays on saturdays and the timetable is too hectic
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The yearly college fees I'll be paying is 5.8 lac. It is higher for the students in computer related branches. The fees does not increase every year but might increae for the 2025 batch. 10k registration fee was asked but it was later included in the tuition fee. No other fee was asked except mess and hostel fees. Various scholarship such a merit cum need, achievers, girl child scholarships exist.
Likes
- There is a lot of exposure and less striction. Hostel intimes is 10:30 for 1st year and 11:30 for 2nd,3rd and 4th year.
- Courses are relevant to current time and interesting
Dislikes
- Hilly areas and distance from hostel to academic block is a lot and the gold cart service is not free and expensive
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Most of the courses cost Rs 5,09,000 pa and hostel fees cost from 80k pa to 2,09,000pa. There are available scholarship merits which you get either if your family income is less than 8lpa or if you are in the top 5% of your branch. Scholarship waiver is alot and reduces the fees significantly. Fees also increases every year for new batch. Hostel fees also increases every year, but for everyone.
Likes
- The infrastructure and the opportunities available to pursue research and other competitions even pet projects are greatly encouraged and even financed by the college
- Hostels are very well managed and the curfew timings are not too strict
Dislikes
- It rains nearly everyday even if for just a little bit
- Newer hostels are farther away from the academic blocks
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
1. 4.9 Lakhs per year inclusive of all charges, which have been taken under tution fees itself. No additional lab fees, registration or admission fees. 2. No reservation of seats, so no difference in fees in categories. Except for national subsidies like PMSS for students from Jammu and AICTE freeship students. 3. Merit based scholarship is available for students achieving less than 5000 rank and obtaining a cgpa of 8.5 in their first year. Need based is AICTE for students with family income less than 7 lpa.

- Good infrastructure such as labs and academic blocks
- Opportunities for doing research papers and internships are available.
Dislikes
- The professor’s way of teaching is not consistent across branches.
- Academic fees and hostel fees increase every few years.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The tuition fee of 2024-2025 academic year is Rs. 5,05,000. The caution fee is Rs. 25,000 deposit, which gets credited later. No other fees during the course other than the tuition fee. Only other category is NRI which is approx. Rs. 10,00,000 per academic year.
Likes
- Good environment and culture, everybody is from good families, and passionate about studies. So there is a good study culture, every body has different aspirations
- Green and huge campus, it has almost all the facilities and manipal campus is very green snd beautiful, good scenic views, safety is also taken care of.
Dislikes
- Rains a lot in Manipal, it actually causes wet floors
- I disliked the fact that we need to walk a lot or otherwise spend 30 rupees to reach the student block from hostel via an e cab, otherwise a 16-18 mins walk

Exam Fee - 2000 (MET ENTRANCE) Caution Deposit- 10000 Total Course Fee- 19,58,000 Hostel Fee - 1,75,000 for AC double room attached bath, currently, includes mess charges and electricity also, excludes laundary. Caution deposit is refundable Tution fee for 1st year is 3,04,000 but additional fee is 1,83,000 which sums to 5,19,000 for this year 2024-2025 Hostel charges breakup (conpulsory for first year unless you are a localite)- Annual hostel facilities - 97000 Deposit- 15000 AC Electricity advance- 10,000 Mess Advance- 53,000 Total- 1,75,000 For non ac - total- 1,41,500 Triple non ac- 1,13,500
