New Horizon College of Engineering also known as NHCE is a private engineering college situated near Marathahalli, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. New Horizon College of Engineering was established in 2001. Admission:
CET rank should be within 25k for data science, if you're from 2A or OBC. Usually a semester ends in 4 months every month we'll be having a month end exam too, which are pretty easy though but on mark. Better staff at the admission department would be the suggestion.

So any bachelor degree recognised by UGC for the MCA course usually preferred for science background students.Application form is provided by the college admission department or you can apply online in college website.We can also go though PGCET for Masters and UGCET for bachelors.the cut off would be around 1.5k for the masters and 13k for bachelors General.Exams are scheduled prior in time and they will conduct it without any hustle.

- The faculties were really approachable to the students.Their mentorship quality is too good, so is their teaching methods.
- The college as a whole has a good ambiance and it's peaceful to be there.

- But there is some issues with the management, the students must be more disciplined and follow the rules

To get in through KCET, we have to score atleast a rank above 8000, I had scored around 27k which was a way too far from the rank I wanted. If through management you have to directly go to the college campus and talk to the admission department.

- Academics is one thing but having good extra curricular activities too is very important and NHCE has balanced both really well.
- Canteens are just too good as I never miss my home at NHCE as we get nutritional food in all our canteens.

Admission:
Entrance is more or less mandatory but since it's an autonomous college there are some management seats as well and I have joined that way. Exams are conducted two times in every semester and student has to clear both to go on tk next year.

- To enhance practical knowledge, we have guest lectures almost every week.
- Our labs are fully equipped and infact the whole infrastructure of NHCE boasts all the modern amenities.
Dislikes
- Because our college is too overcrowded sometimes it happens that we don't get to access our favourite resources as they are already occupied.
Admission:
Entrance is definitely the best way as they get concession in the fees and for them online is the only way. However those who want to get admissions through management quota can directly apply as nearly 20-25% students have come that way.

- Academics here is always at the front as no matter what if you don't pay attention to academics here, you will have to suffer.
- Placements are arguably one of the best here as top companies come here for placements.

To get admissions here backdoor entries can be very expensive and therefore the best way is getting here through entrance. For outsiders like us Comed-K which is easier than JEE is the best possible way. Scores criteria are different for students of general category and reserved category but seats are evenly spread.

Admission:
Entrance is the best way as those coming from backdoors have to pay double the fees and also their quota is quite less. Nearly 40% is reserved for SC/ST and OBC. Students are mostly chosen through merit but those who have done well in sports or other fields are also given preference in admissions.

- We have some of the best outfields at our campus and me being a football lover, I love going to the pitch that is on offer at our college.

Admission:
Comed-K as I am from Kerala and any student of other state has to give that. For the locals ite Karnataka Common Entrance Test and around 80% of the seats are filled through that. Some management quota seats are also there and that is how one can get admissions here. Exams are a timely thing here as the university has over a 100 engineering colleges under them and one can be assured that there's no malpractice in exams.

- NHCE has one of the best auditoriums with a seating capacity of almost 1200 students, it is best suited to host college events and guest lectures.
- For those who are foodie don't have to step outside as our 11 acre campus has 4 canteens and all of them serves different delicacies.

- The indoor sports stadium is always full and there are some seniors who gets hold of it first and they never leave their spot so it is difficult to find a spot to play.
Admission:
12th results and KCET is one way of getting here. However KCET results are out so their classes starts 2 months later while students who comes directly through management quota their classes starts a couple of months earlier. This is one thing which can be changed as it should be same for all I believe.

- NHCM BBA executive is better than most colleges and also our college is affiliated with North Bangalore University making it more comfortable than private universities who changed syllabus in between.
- Course is tough and those who think BBA is easy should once look at our syllabus.

- Faculties gives us too many assignments and also some of them are not even checked but still we have to do them.
Admission:
12th pass with 70 odd percentage is enough to get admissions here. For reserved it's lesser but there are around 240 students capacity and no seats go empty at NCHM.
