Course Curriculum Overview:
From my childhood, I have myself be an engineer and IIT is the best college to become an engineer in India so I chose IIT. I got admitted to IIT Goa mechanical engineering because as per my thing in future mechanical field has a better feel than other engineering like CSE aerospace MNC and other engineering branches. As other branches are over crowded branches this leads to a decrease in demand for another field in the future so that I choose mechanical engineering. IT Goa has a very good student-teacher ratio here it is about one faculty for every 10 students. Teachers are very familiar with students. Even the Teaching Assistants are so very good at IIT Goa. Most of the faculty members here are Ph.D. holders from foreign while some are also from India. All over we find a remix variety of faculties some are very good whereas some are not so good. There were and same exam admit sem exams during each semester. The exams are easy for a student who Saturday continuously during the sem.

The college provides the placement with a very high package. If you want to study more then college helps a lot to you. Around 98% of students get a place with a very good package. My plan after Btech is to study Mtech.

Placement Experience:
IIT Goa, though relatively new, has been making significant strides in terms of placements and employability. Students become eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester onwards. The institute has attracted renowned companies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Amazon, Microsoft, and many more. These companies have made substantial offers to our students, with the highest package touching impressive figures, usually above 20 lakhs per annum. The average package also ranges from 7 to 10 lakhs per annum, depending on the branch and profile. Our placement percentage has consistently been above 80%, showcasing the employability of our graduates.

I have an interest in mechanics. The faculty ratio is very good. 10:1. The faculty are highly qualified mostly all of them have doctorates. Exams are good enough to be competitive and not so hard to pass.

IIT Goa offers campus placements to its students. Students become eligible for campus placements in their final year of study, i.e., in the 7th or 8th semester. Several reputed companies visit IIT Goa for campus placements, including Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, IBM, Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro, Adani Power, etc. Higher placements offer is of 1.2cr and average placement offers are16-25 lac per annum. I am a student of one of these new IITs- IIT Goa, which was established in 2016. IIT Goa is an Institute of National Importance, and is mentored by IIT Bombay. IITB supports the institution in every manner, be it for academics or infrastructure.
Here are some important features of IIT Goa-
- Campus- The temporary campus is located in Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi, Ponda. It is around 29 kms away from Panaji city. The campus covers nearly 250 acres. It is green and beautiful, especially in the rainy season. There are plenty of scenic locations in and around the campus for photography enthusiasts.
- Sports Facilities- IIT Goa shares its sports facilities with GEC, which include, a cricket ground, a football ground, a badminton court, a basketball court and a gym. The members of cricket and football teams visit the grounds in nearby Ponda city.
- Academic Infrastructure- The college has ample lecture halls and tutorial rooms. The library is small. It contains course related books, a few novels and some poetry books. The novels and poetry books are in English and Hindi languages.
- Other Facilities- The campus houses a branch of Corporate Bank, along with its ATM. There’s a general store which offers eggs, maggie, coke, and other such small items of daily need.
