I chose this course because of my interest and I also did my bachelor's in economics. I mostly prefer economics in a more quantitative nature. This course taught me some of the intermediate and advanced concepts of the usual economics papers. I also had some specialization papers like Econometric Methods and Advanced Quantitative Techniques. The faculty-Student ratio is about 10:54 or 5:27. Manisha Sharma is our Head of the Department. Most of the professors are having Ph.D. from Gauhati University and IIT Guwahati and some are still pursuing. I like the overall teaching method of the faculty. However, I do have to mention Dr. Gataun Mazumdar who is excellent at interacting with the students and always use to give some real-world examples whenever he used to teach us. He is specialized in Macroeconomics and has a Ph.D. degree from Amsterdam. The exams are usually held on time but due to the covid situation, the exams were a bit late. The paper level was quite moderate.

I wanted to choose statistics from the beginning as this subject has a large scope. Our faculty members including the teachers are very helpful, friendly, and motivating. They guide us through everything and show us a path.

To be honest, the Botany Department of our University, our department according to to be is the most peaceful on the entire campus. It is because the faculty is very good and supportive. All the professors and Assistant Professors are highly educated with doctorate degrees from reputed Universities and they are well-experienced in their field. It feels nice to be with them on my journey. They are good mentors. They show proper manners when they are with their students. Very well disciplined. And secondly, our department is a little away from the main campus and it is situated in a beautiful scenario. The department has a garden with so many flowers and botanical plants which makes it unique on its own. Better to visit our department during winter. Too beautiful! And lastly, about the term exams, we give 3 semesters in a year. Thats upsetting! But it has its significance. But as it is a govt. Institute you can't expect more resources from the department.

As i am doing BA in Hindi. The teachers are very good, friendly and always ready to help us. In every semester exams will be conducted twice time one is the mid-term exam and the last is the final exam. It's not hard to get pass an exam.
Political Science is the most sought-after course in the uni. I chose it because of the wide variety of scopes that it has. The diversity in political science is very intriguing, you get to study and then make a decision on your further plans because there are options, one way or the other. Girl students are more in number. The faculty is very friendly and caring, and they'll make you feel at home. All the professors are highly qualified, most of them have done masters and Ph.D. from JNU or research from abroad. They've their own styles of teaching. Classes are very interactive, and insightful and more focus is given to debates, dialogues, and discussions. Mid-term exams take place after 2 months since college starts. End-term exams are basically in January. Exams aren't that difficult to pass, only 8/9 marks are required to pass the mid-term. However, sufficient attendance is required to be qualified for the exams. Passing the mid-term is compulsory to be qualified for the end term.
I did not get admission to the department I wanted. I was given the department of Hindi by the admission authority. The faculty is good. The faculty members are well educated with Ph.D. degrees. They make sure the students get the best knowledge of a particular subject. Terms are conducted timely and it's not much difficult to pass the terms.
I choose this course because I wanted to become a software Engineer. There are around 15 teachers in the dept., Few of them are research scholars and others are highly qualified teachers with a strong background. Every teacher in the department is either a Ph.D. holder or NET qualified. They teach us in very interactive methods using PPT and Whiteboard. They are always well prepared for the class. Timely exams are not difficult to pass if you have studied properly what teachers had taught in the class.
The geography department at the university is good. The department is small, with a maximum of 30–40 students in each class. This helps in good interaction with the teachers and avoids congestion. The teachers are good and very cooperative. They help the students in every way, be it academic or extra-curricular activities. The department takes part in university activities actively. The teachers also help and are actively involved. All the teachers in the department have PhDs. Teachers use theory as well as practical knowledge to teach the subject. Computers, smart phones, and journals are also used by them. They clear every doubt of the students and also, if necessary, they teach topics beyond the syllabus for future help. The exams are conducted on time. And the question pattern is challenging for the students.
