College canteens with variety foods many items
College teachers with good skills of teaching

Dislikes

Girls' common room with small area with less fans
Washroom with less number and not clean with sticky

- yearly fees is 5950 And for others with income certificate will get free addmission -different course has different different fees Ba addmission fee is 5950 -M.msc fees is 13050-24050 - ishan Uday scholarship for the 4 years

Our college have a big library which we can find all the books required
We dont have to pay fees because of our BPL card which is really helpful and mindful of our college

Dislikes

Too much program are held in the college for examples fresher meet is held for department wise and again as a general which is too much sometimes
Faculty member is not really helpful as we need to do everything by our self

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

I was paying 7200 per semester but because of my BPL card i dont have to pay any fees and its totally free My batchmate have to pay 7200 per semester as they dont have BPL card I havent applied for any scholarship or any other program related to scholarship

The environment of the campus us excellent ,the students are very friendly with each other ,whole campus has a livelihood mood its just amazing to be there and experience things first hand it really shows the different aspects in which we can excel
The university has top notch faculty the education there is commendable it really brings out the true potential of a student many great names in assam have graduated from cotton university and in north east it the most prestigious universities

Dislikes

The administration is not always good the timing of notices are in very unlikely hours,
The Mcb building there has only 2 bathrooms which makes it difficult to use the washrooms

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Fee is divided in year wise system each year will be around 6000-7000 ruppes There are many considerations for st sc , there are fee waiver present for ebws certificate, many scholarships are present like ishan uday witch is provided by the govt

Likes

It was friendly environment. We had great space where we can discuss things.
Professors were really good. They helped us in every situation.

Dislikes

Administrative was rude. They didn't listen to the problems of the students.
Scholarship facilities were also meagre. It really takes a lot of time to avail the benefits of scholarships.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Fees were satisfactory. Per every semester we paid around 1150 rupees. And for admission we gave 6000 rupees. There were six semester. Scholarship facilities were however not that good. There were limited scholarships available for us. But overall fees were really affordable.

There are variety of courses available in the university.
There is a mentorship program for student provided by each department.

Dislikes

Not sufficient amount of books are available in the university library
The university doesn't have a close campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The admission fee is around 8-9k. For the second year admission you have to pay 6000. You can also avail the fee waiver scheme by the govt. of assam if your total family income is less than 2.5 lakhs. You can avail different scholarship of state and central govt. You don't have to pay any monthly fees. There are some self- financing courses as well. The fee structure of such courses is around 25-30k.

COTTON UNIVERSITY - AN HONEST REVIEW

The university is extremely friendly in nature, The seniors are very supportive and listens to our problems
I'm from Economics department and teachers are quite supportive, they constantly tell us to approach them if we don't understand any concept. Thus the cooperation from our professors are phenomenal

Dislikes

Lots of bugs and glitches while payment process leading to double payment and creating inconvenience for us
For some departments like history and political science and some other departments, it is difficult to expect marks even if we write our exams in satisfied manner

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The yearly fees is around 4800 to 5000 INR. ( Which includes all the fees of tuitions, laboratory, ID card etc etc ) The examination form fill up is around 1100 INR But since I am from economically weaker background, my fees usually ranges from 0 to 500 INR. I also received the scholarship called ISHAN UDAY scholarship from NSP. For this scolarship to receive, one must be from low income group ( below 2lakhs per annum ) without a government job .

Teachers a really friendly and helpful.infrastructure is good
Have good sports facility with a huge library in the campus..

Dislikes

Laboratories are good but need about more to improve for further use
Allotment of new halls for smart classes needed

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

I paid 6600 for this year's admission. They take registration fees 300, development fees 500, lab fee 300 but courses like mass communication and journalism have fees of 20000. And biotech dept needs to pay 15000. There are state-government scholarships.

Teachers were so cooperative in everything including extracurricular activities
The environment of the campus is noise free

Dislikes

The toilets are so dirty, not hygienic at all
The indoor stadium needs to be repair as soon as possible

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Our Admission fees is only ?7750/- only ....It includes all tuition fees ,field visit,library fees etc.. There are lots of scholarships offered by our college include fee waiver scheme etc etc .... But the students should have a proper income certificate

A glance into life in Cotton University

Likes

The academic excellence of the university- The professors are highly qualified, the syllabus is good.
There is abundance of co-curricular activities in Cotton University. One can truly reach their best potential here.

Dislikes

The marking system is not up to date. Students are not given enough marks.
There is need for improvement in the infrastructure.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The hike in tuition fees is a very rare thing. For BA Honours in English the yearly cost will be around 15000INR. There's a lot of opportunities for like scholarships like Ishan Uday Scholarship (54000 INR per annum) and EWS scholarship (2000INR per annum. I don't have much idea about the campus employment.

Campus are very beautiful and my first college life started here after 10th to Graduation level.
Professors are very good and they are very supportive

Dislikes

Infrastructure little bit small. All are good enough

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Tution fees are affordable, this university is under government so there are not more charge for tution and admissions. They have also scholarship schemes such like NSP and ishanuday and others. Campus employment are very rare.
