Course Curriculum Overview:

I always like science field and the practicals included were really interesting . I wanted to be in science field because of practicals and many things can be applied in our daily life Curriculum really prepare us for real world applications and also for higher studies. Some teachers are not much active and the didn't complete syllabus in the right time. I think they should set a timetable and cover syllabus before exam . Exams are conducted for 3 hours and that's enough to finish it. The exams are not much difficult and questions are direct .

Faculty:

Faculties are supportive and they provide best work and cooperative with us. I like office room members and treasury members and they are the best I don't like lab helpers because some of them are lazy . There were 18 written exams ,5 lab exams and 1 project (including viva and presentation) They were direct questions. Those who have prepared well could easily pass with flying colours. About 5-6 students fail to clear the exams in different semesters. Course curriculum was interesting.

We are having an annual fees of about 26,000 for merit students and for management we are having 29,000. For keralites there are no specific scholorship and karnataka native students there are several scholarships. Exam fees should be paid separately other than the above mentioned fees.

Specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the library. The lab experiments prepares students to face the real world application. The frequency and timing of exams are bit difficult, we will get only a day gap between exams

Crucial to any curriculum is its content. For purposes of this evaluation, an analysis of the content should address whether the content meets the current and long-term needs of the students. Course Curriculum Overview:

Msc in Zoology includes a broad spectrum of topics related to Animal Biology. I choose fisheries as my specialization in my second year. There are many interesting topics in all the semesters. We also have a field study/survey in 3rd semester. I think they should also include endocrinology, genetics, and other specializations in the department. The zoology department in this college has only Entomology and Fisheries available as a specialization. Even though the overall course curriculum has many choices still the department restricts it by giving just two options. It eventually minimizes future opportunities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee structure of this college for the course of Msc in Zoology is 37400 per year and they also take examination fees, practical fees, dissection specimen amount, and field study amount which was approximately 19000 ( in 3rd semester) depending upon the area. I have not taken any scholarship. I don't even know about any scholarship program. They also don't have any campus employment programs or anything as such.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did M.sc with fish and fisheries as speciality in final year because nowadays because of growing population throughout the world humans are facing hunger and shortage of food and that have had encouraged the practice of aquaculture. It not only provides food but also contributes to India's economy to large extend. And also fishes are very useful in indicating any type of water pollution due to pesticidal runoff or any other pollutants and hence quite beneficial in determining the health of aquatic ecosystems.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Annual fees for masters in zoology is 37000 per year with additional expenses for projects and paid workshops and internships. With a mandatory tour to south or north India of approximately 20000 for exploring flora and fauna. Additionally the experimental setup for final year dissertation needs handsome amount of money depending on your relevant topic

I personally liked the subject I chose for my post-graduation studies. The teachers prepare us for the exam in class itself. They cover the syllabus and take our practice of the exam and gaining knowledge. The timing of the exam is a little issue in our college. The college provides us with only 2 hours 30 minuutes timing for 60 marks theory exam.

Campus Life:

There are fests in the college. Many competitions are taken in the college including all the skills like photography, drawing, dance, singing, etc. Science exhibitions and business fairs are arranged. The library is big and available 6 days a week with separate reading hall for boys and girls.
