- I chose Amritha vishwa vidyapeetham Because of its great atmosphere and the amazing scenery given from the mountains and the amazing faculty and infrastructure given at Amritha, Coimbatore and more accessible to me to go from every day

I am a first year, so I do not have much knowledge on this topic, but my cousins and I studied here and they have had very well. Good experience doing this and they have Good campus, I may not campus. I mean, good companies.

- The thing i like about the college is the environment and location where the college is located.The climate is so good here.
- The infrastructure is soo good here and labs are equipped with advanced equipment. Over wide the campus WiFi is provided to access the materials.

- As the college is far away from city.So travelling will be difficult here.Train facilities are provided here.
- As the college doesn't allow non veg food inside the campus and outside the campus there are minimum number of restaurants.Also inside the campus only eggs are allowed in only one canteen.
Placement Experience:
Mostly the campus placement will start at 6 th semester.The companies like tcs,wipro, cognizant,Bosch etc...Like these most of the top companies visits here.Mostly 96% of the students are placed with good packages.My plan is to pursue higher education after my graduation.

- The college is located far from the center of the city, Coimbatore

Campus Placements starts at your third year. Top MNCs like Google, TCS, Wipro visit here. Almost 90 percentage of students are placed. Average salary pack for IT domain is 6Lpa and Core domain is 9Lpa

- Main thing i disliked about the hostel was the food.
- The food never really had any flavor, whenever we had anything it'd be very soggy and watery, the sambhar and chutney used to be very watery.
Course Curriculum Overview:
To be honest our curriculum is a bit hard but it's manageable, the syllabus becomes a bit hard when it's end semester exams as there'll be many portions to study but with the teacher's help it's fine.

- Few clubs are just brilliant. Clubs like amFOSS and BIOS are the top notch in their respective fields in the entire nation. amFOSS for open source and BIOS for cybersecurity. Hence plenty of guidance is provided by peers and friends in these clubs.
- The syllabus is pretty easy. Though it's lengthy it's doable and mostly students get through really well. Assignments are reasonable and hence plenty of time for self-development and building connections, working on projects and just growing.
Dislikes
- The mess food is not up to the mark. No special food even on events like Diwali, Holi, Ram Navami. It's the same dal rice, sambhar, idli every day. Never any fruits except a banana a week.
- The libraries aren't 24/7 which is a really disappointing fact. And they don't have A/C too. Just fans, and limited time, doesn't make up for a really good environment for studying when you find disturbance everywhere else.
Placement Experience:
Placements are pretty good. Most of the students get placed. Several get ppos and get internships in the 6th Semester itself. Companies like google and microsoft also hire. Many students apply for higher education too.

- The vibe of the College is very good, the location is very scenic with the backwaters and the ocean, the college is an open campus which lets us around with freedom rather than a compounded one. The vast number of Research labs and clubs is very good
- The Club culture in the college is very good, we have 2 of the famous clubs 'Foss' and 'Bios' and there are various other clubs where once you get into we will get projects and mentorship on domains we are interested in like app dev, web dev etc.
Dislikes
- The Campus is not too big, the location of it being in a town/village makes it difficult if we want something and we have to travel some good distance for nearby cities, Infrastructure can be better for some classrooms, and buildings.
- The hostel is decent along with the mess, but can be way better, the mess food is ok but not exceptional, the night dinner mess is not that good. There is no Canteen after curfew at 8:45, which makes it difficult sometimes at night.
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for placements at the end of Semester 6 and the start of Semester 7, for eligibility to sit in the campus placement, the student has to have above 6.5 CGPA and no standing arrears. Many companies visited the college like Microsoft, cadence, wipro , cisco, TCS, infosys, Techotip, Vivriti capital,Arista etc. the highest package offered was 40 - 50 lpa, and the average package is around 7-8 lpa. Around 80-85% of the students get placed, while some dont but many chose to go for higher studies. My plan is to get a job in placement and continue it after getting my degree and think of masters depending on situations

students are eligible to sit in placements after the 6th semester and an app is provided for students to apply to their desired company. around 300+ companies visit our campus. the top recruiters are Google, Microsoft etc. core companies such as BHEL, L&T, siemens, bosch, Mercedes, Yamaha also recruit.

- we don't have nonveg in our college mess neither in the college canteens and we also can't order it from outside.

i am still in 2nd year and i'm not much aware of the college placements honestly,but i have discussed about it with my seniors and came to know that most of them are placed in the college placements and some had plans of doing their masters and was not willing to take up the college placements.The students from 6th semester are eligible for campus placements .The name of the companies are Cognizant ,infosys ,amazon ,deloitte,hcl,a ccenture and 98 more. 360 offers were made in the year 2018-19, with the highest package of 28.4 LPA and the average placements was for 6.68 lacks per annum, 90 companies for summer placements with Rs40000 highest stipend.Placements at amrita has been excellent .Based on the statistics made by college ,the percentage of students getting placed are 100% .The highest salary is paid by RKN Project. My plans after getting the degree are not yet planned.

What is your review of Amrita University?
Amrita University offers good learning opportunities. It also has a decent placement record. According to the highlights of Amrita University Placements 2021, almost 95% of students got placement offers. The highest CTC offered was 56.95 LPA.
But the coursework is demanding. You are required to do projects each semester. So, you need to keep up with the coursework, otherwise, you can easily fall behind.
Which is better in terms of 1. studies, 2. recruitments, 3. college life, and 4. exposure: Amrita, VIT Chennai or Anna University?
In terms of academics, Amrita University matches the IIT syllabus and course structure. The infrastructure and laboratories are in good condition. The college works closely with businesses and other educational institutions. Many academic activities are being carried out to ensure effective information exchange.
College life is the most interesting part. Amrita University's Coimbatore campus is one of the cleanest in India and spans 500 acres. Amrita is a very diverse campus and a great place to make new friends. There is no such constraint. Cell phones are not permitted in the classroom. However, after leaving the classroom, you can talk to your loved ones. A minimum attendance requirement of 80% must be met, or you must present sufficient justification for your absence.
Amrita provides free wifi that is typically 0.5Mbps fast. Aside from YouTube, Facebook, and a few other sites, most academic content is available. Everything else is restricted. Only nutritious vegetarian food is served. The menu is adequate for a South Indian restaurant. If you are a traveler, you will have enough vacation time in Amrita to visit all of India in two years. The resident warden must grant permission for the outing. Every time a girl needs an outing pass, she must submit a fax from her parents. You can earn millions if you plan on participating in and winning every cultural event that is held there. It is an excellent world-class platform for showcasing and honing your skills.
