Kumaraguru College of Technology, established in 1984, is located on the outskirts of Coimbatore. Spread over a 156-acre campus, the college started with the Ramanandha Adigalar Foundation as its sponsor. KCT is an autonomous institution affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and is approved by AICTE. The courses offered by KCT have been accredited with an A++ grade by NAAC and by NBA.

Kumaraguru College of Technology Admission
Kumaraguru College of Technology admission for all courses are done based on merit and the marks scored on the respective entrance exam. The BE/ BTech programs are based on JEE Mains or TNEA score, the ME, MTech, MBA, and MCA is based on TANCET or GATE scores, and the PhD programs are based on the national level entrance exam followed by Personal Interview. For TNEA, the candidates who have passed class 8-12 are eligible to apply and should be between 17-25 years of age. For TANCET MBA, the candidates must have completed their graduation. For TANCET MCA, students must have mathematics as a subject in graduation level or in 10+2 with 50% in the Bachelor’s degree. How to Apply?
- It is mandatory for students to attempt the TNEA exam and the TANCET (depends on course). To apply, download and fill the form available on the official website of TNEA and TANCET.
- After the results of the entrance exams are announced, all candidates are required to download and fill the application form of the college, available on the official website.
- Upon applying, students will have to pay a registration fee of INR 500 (for general category) and INR 250 (for SC/ ST/ MBC/ DNA categories).
- Selections are done based on TNEA counselling for undergraduate courses and TANCET counselling for postgraduate courses conducted by Anna University.
- Admissions for PhD courses are done twice every year by Anna University, Chennai. To pursue research studies, students should contact the respective in charge of the department.

Kumaraguru College of Technology Campus Life
Kumaraguru College of Technology has a huge auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,800 with centralized air conditioning. The college also includes Mahatma Gandhi Central Library, spread over an area of 16945 sq. feet. The library has a huge compilation of books owning 67,598 titles and 1,07,534 volumes and has a subscription to 186 print journals, 8,829 online international journals and 59 magazines. The college has four air-conditioned seminar halls each with a seating capacity of 250, named Dr Vikram Sarabhai, Dr C.V. Raman, Sir M. Visvesvaraya and Swami Vivekananda. KCT also includes a huge number of personal computers. The 1st year Computer Lab has 120 PCs that are used for acquiring basic computing skills. The language lab employs 45 computers and the Centralized Computer-Aided Design Lab (CAD) has about 120 personal computers.
Aruljothi Medical Centre on the campus is an eight bedded hospital with two doctors and nursing assistants. The campus also offers cafeteria and three smaller cafes and refreshment outlets inside the campus. The College has a 13 buses, 4 minibuses and 1 van to transport students and staff from different places in and around Coimbatore to college and back. These buses operate along different routes starting from different locations. For sports facilities, KCT offers a 23 acre playfield that accommodate outdoor games like Football, Hockey, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Ball Badminton, Kabaddi, Tennis, Handball, Kho-Kho, Throwball and outdoor Gymnastics. KCT provides on-campus hostel facilities for boys and girls. The boy's hostel has a total of 6 blocks with 510 rooms that can accommodate 2088 students. Eligibility was around 189(E-cutoff).I got admission through engineering counselling. Yes theres reservation for government school students and based on the caste also.Every two months there will be an internal exam.Admission process is good it can be done in 15 minutes without need of parents.

Our college is under counseling and management quota . The cutoff is about 198 for computer science and Artificial intelligence and data science and for electrical engineering 185 to 195 based on their caste

Cutoff required is more than 170 outof 200 and entrance exams are not necessary for the admission and the admission process seems to be easy but donation is required if counseling is not applied or without cutoff

- Lab facilities and equipment implements has to be made much better for a proper hands-on experience
- The main parking area for bikes does not have a upper cover. So the vehicles has to be in a open space. This has to be made efficient.

As it is a reputed institution, the cut-off mark is much important. One who has the good cutoff marks can easily approach through counselling. Also the reservation policy admissions are also followed in a proper manner.

So the admission process was basically an interview and having a small entrance exam , as I took psychology in 11th and 12th they took my 12th psychology mark alone for consideration , the interview will happen for 30 mins and the exam for another 30 mins so it's totally 1hr process

Reservation seats were also available for specific students (NRI, gulf students, etc.) The internal exams were conducted every two months.

- Brigade is inagurated by college which is a 3 day class in which college seniors and juniors interact with each other by engaging them in game sessions and so on seniors will explain about the college and its features

- The importance for clubs forums were given under the condition of having 65 percentage of attendance which is hard to cope up with both studies and extra curiculars
- Staffs only consider the children to take part academics rather than the other activities
