SASTRA University Admission 2024
Admissions to various programs at SASTRA University are both entrance and merit-based. Admission to B.Tech/ 5-Year Integrated M.Tech. program at SASTRA University is done under two streams which are as follows:
- Stream 1 (Based on JEE (Main) Score and 10+2 Marks): 70% of Seats
- Stream 2 (Based on 10+2 Marks): 30% of Seats
For all other UG courses, admissions are based on the marks in the qualifying examination. For all PG courses, the admissions are based on scores in the qualifying degree programs and a written test. For Law courses, admissions will be based on the CLAT Scores and 10+2 aggregate taken in the ratio of 25% : 75% respectively. I applied for VIT, SSN and TNEA The fees doe the vit is huge that my family cannot arrange. Sastra has a decent fee and a good education. So I choose sastra. I failed in the interview round in SSN entrance. There is no caste wise admission like other colleges. The admission is purely based on the board marks and the JEE marks

This is one of the best private colleges in India and admissions are completely merit based. Placements are excellent and faculty are well experienced. Infrastructure is good and coding culture is good. Practical learning is given atmost importance.

I like this college because it is a very good top rated college among in this genre when compare in freewise as a the exposure wives as well. I got admission in this college with my 10th and 12th marks as my school to get into the college. The admission process is very much smooth and great and its also provide students who have written JEE exams and inter exams very good

This is the first preference of college in the list which included SRM Chennai and VIT Chennai . I chose this since it had course I wanted as well as it is the best what I could get from my 12 grade. No . I have applied only few and got seat in all I chose this over rest . For merit seat in Cse aids - 95 percent or more of candidate for the student who opt nri 70 percent in 12 th boards.they also take jee mains which varies every year generally 86 percentaile for Cse

SOme of the reasons i wouldn't encourage people to join this college are Hostel accomodation , mess food , etc which is extremely bad

- The quality of the food court is really good and the food they provide is really affordable and tasty
- The quality of laboratories. As a computer science student, the quality of the labs are really good

- Non veg is not allowed inside the campus , and if they find that someone brought it in, they will thrown out of the campus
- The location of the campus is very remote
Admission:
I applied to amrita , vit along with sastra. I got admission in both. I did not go to vit because of their very high fee structure and lack of discipline in college. I did not go to amrita because I did not get the required course that I wanted. So i chose sastra. To get admitted in sastra, you have to first fill out the application form. Either you can get admitted through 12th board marks or through jee marks. The whole admission process is done online and it is very comfortable

- The student welfare can be improved somewhat
- Cricket ground is under construction and will be ready in few months

Lovely professional university, srmist, vellore institute of technology, bits pilani, thiagaraja engineering college. I chose this college because it was nearer to my hometown and i didnt get admission in above college expect lpu and srmist but i chose this one. The admission process is bad and not well organised.

I have applied for SSN , VIT, SASTRA,SRM ,Manipal .I got admission from VIT-civil SRM-EEE SASTRA-EEE and Manipal- mechanical.Comparing to all the universities I felt SASTRA as good one as per budget friendly and campus placements.Vut all other universities are also very good I got rejection from SSN.i didn't have that much of 12th marks it should be more than 975+ but I secured only 960. You should visit www.sastra.edu The eligibility is 12th marks and JEE mains based on counselling we will got allotment in branch.when you got the counselling call we should visit the University and if you like the branch and campus you should provide them 10th,12th certificates as well as adhar,PAN,Bank details and for confirmation you should pay around 65000/-

- Attandance were strictly follow, must maintain above 80% no more medical leave for students
- Students bike parking were badly maintained.

In my Hometown circle this is the only college to provide placements for Students with affordable fees Structure. In this college we should applied for admission through Online and every fee process through Online.

SASTRA University Dean’s Merit Scholarship
Under SASTRA University Dean’s Merit Scholarship, a two-fifth and one-fifth concession in semester fees is given to a student who is amongst the top 3% and 3% - 10% respectively in his class.
SASTRA University Hostel Scholarship
SASTRA University offers scholarships amounting to INR 16,000 as Hostel Scholarships. To avail of this scholarship, minimum class attendance should be 90% with no indiscipline records. A minimum CGPA of 7.5% should be maintained. Payment of every semester fee without fines is mandatory.
SASTRA University TATA Housing Scholarship for Civil Engineering Students
Candidates enrolling in B.Arch, B.E Civil engineering and MBA can avail SASTRA University TATA Housing Scholarship for Civil Engineering Students. Under this scholarship scheme, INR 60,000 per year is granted to students.
