Faculties are very good and I like their teaching process and skills.

The think the campus is a bit small the buildings are congested

The faculty is extremely helpful and the teaching delivered is top notch, if one attends the classes regularly, the subject would seem extremely easy and interesting as well.
The campus is very beautiful, the ancient structures of the buildings, the majestic corridors and halls echo the history of "Calcutta".

Dislikes

There are placements in only 3 departments- Maths, Statistics, and Geology, other departments do not have any placement cells.
The library should have more books, and the number of books one can borrow at a time should be atleast 5, instead of the current bar of 2.

Placement Experience:

Almost 70-80 % of the students get placed in msc statistics, and the average package is around 7-8LPA. There are many private banks, consultancies and other private firms who visit for placements. One can also opt for research after completion of the course.

The staff members are excellent the professors a very charming and the knowledge the provide are very unwitching and interesting to learn
Environment is quite positive and you will get good wives in the campus because of the history has and also because of the good positive energy of all students in campus

Dislikes

The semester exams aadat modular difficulty level and I hope if would be great if we could get a little more gap before each semester exam

The course that I have taken a sociology, it is a very useful subject in my opinion since it is important to understand the social movements and social aspects of Indian society and also sociology has a connection to gender dynamics and how gender rows are portrayed, therefore it has relevance in the modern day life

The course is relevant to our needs and very updated according to the current needs and the competitive exam. The course includes important topics and interesting topics about the Jewish history which is not available in most university and college curriculum.

The campus has 2 good libraries one for the students of Arts department like History, Political Science, Sociology etc and the other library is the Science library for the students from Science department like Maths , Physics , Biology Chemistry .
Our university is very inclusive where people from diverse background come to study. We have students from rural parts of West Bengal as well as the affluent parts of Kolkata and also many students from North Bengal region .

Dislikes

The students who live in Girls hostel and the Boys hostel which is the Eden Hindu Hostel have to face a lot of difficulties in terms of having access to bus and transport facilities and good and clean food in the message system .
Our university does not give a lot of importance to sports which I feel is very necessary since we have good players in Football and Volleyball. If the university arranges for adequate equipment and facilities our university team can do really well .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course structure is according to the UGC syllabus in the Undergraduate level whereas the university has designed its own syllabus in the Post Graduate and in the PhD course work. The syllabus is diverse and covers various aspects of History including Indian history from the ancient times to the modern era . Westen European history till about the 20th century. We also have courses on Inter Faith relations , Global intellectual history and the History of Jewsish Community and so on .The syllabus is diverse and covers a lot of interesting and relevant topics .

Presidency University provides a good research facility and the professors are very well qualified. The course curriculum is very student friendly.
Presidency University regularly maintain the education system and the examination better than other universities.

Dislikes

The campus was not very big and other than the education facilities is more are less unavailable
Some time the semester was completed within 4-4.5 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is one of the best reason to approach the university. Because in the NEP-2020 curriculum all universities provide 160 credits curriculum but presidency University provides 194 credits curriculum that will help we in our higher education. And also the other course curriculum was very good.

Experienced Faculty, Faculty members are exceptionally experienced on the subject , Ther Method of teaching is Very very good ie they explain us the relationships between the topics very well and the overall experience of learning becomes Wonderful.
Good Labs : laboratory for experiment are good i would say , it is ture that some of the instruments used are a little old , but they are actually improving it with newer and newer equipments every now and then .

SPORTS FIELD MANAGEMENT : the quality of basketball court is poor

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since the Bsc(physics) course here is research oriented thus i chose it . The skills I'm learning here will become useful for me when i start my life as a researcher. The prospects of interning with researchers while studying is there , and some of my friends last got a chance to it . In the similar fashion anyone who enrolles here can get a chance to gain experience while persuing his/her degree which is good for future job placements . The exam frequency is optimum i would say in an average 2 tests on one paper one mid sem and one end sem . Mid sem or as to say IA usually is of 30 marks (If FM-100 )or 10-15 (if FM-50) IA includes Presentations , Written Tests , Viva , Assignment , Survay , Practicals(Sciences) etc . And the End sem is of the remaining 70 or 40-35 marks usually a written exam .

Sociology as a subject always attracted me and I wanted to take up sociology for my higher studies since school.The curriculum teaches us to be knowledgeable about society and how to combat the evil forces which makes our society full of people with ill mindsets.My professors are amazing and knows how to make the subject more interesting.The semester exams is quite tough because we have to score good in mid sems otherwise our CGPA falls down

The faculty and their teaching methods with presentations and practical examples
The vast playing field, badminton/volleyball court and basketball court among others help students to relax

Dislikes

The canteen is a but over-priced and doesn't meet the hype it had. Same goes for the in-campus cha stall.
The syllabus is too enormous and it would be great if it's compartmentalised into two or more papers

Course Curriculum Overview:

The program curriculum encompasses Biological Sciences as well as it could have been. It is very elaborate comprising every branches from Instrumemtation and Methodologies to Cell Biology, Genetics or Molecular Biology for that matter. You are ought to have three theory papers and two practical and Grand VIVA papers each semester with a total of 4 semesters over two years. In the last semester, you need to prepare your dissertation. The papers include all the basic concepts and their applications and demands hard hours. I believe the syllabus can be relaxed a bit and the number of papers per term expanded and compartmentalised so as to reduce the load of individual papers. All the faculties are very supportive and Friendly and appreciate doubts and queries always.
