JIS University, under its JISUMS scheme, offers scholarships to meritorious and financially weak students of society. The scholarship amount, extending up to 100% on tuition fees of the total course fees, is awarded on the basis of the assessment of prospective candidates by the JISUMS Committee. The University awards its scholarship to the students who wish to pursue their studies in various courses at JIS University. - Campus life is quite good. There are many clubs for students to join of their own liking: coding, cloud computing, cyber security, cultural clubs ( singing, dancing, drama) and Google developer club are present bringing like minded people together.
- Infrastructure where I talk about only the buildings, campus, playground is actually very much nice looking. Also, our department has AC classes. So, I rather enjoy the whole look of the college.
Dislikes
- We are still learning to code in Ubuntu. The coding sessions should be more up to date. I am paying a hefty fee to this college for Btech degree. It is not fair that I have to learn latest skill on my own from online.
- Not much oppurtunity for internships from college. They should take initiative for our future if they are promising that while taking admission.
Admission:
I took WBJEE to get into an engineering college, my score was low but I do not remenber actually how much it was. I did not have any reservation and had to enter this college through a lengthy process of counselling. Definitely having reservations might help one to get better college and even some discount in course fee like for the people with TWF category. WBJEE occurs once a year around april or may. Another competitive exam which will allow one to take admission in this college is JEE, which occurs two times a year, one in january and second session in april. Both are difficult examinations with JEE being on national level more difficult.

- Our table tanis room is too short to play.
- Our virtual lab do not have enough devices.

The cutt off ECE was around 67 in WBJEE. I got admission in this college without attending any group discussion or interview. I contacted with the admission cell of the college and they guide me all the way to of the admission process.

- Irregular classes, syllabus may or may not be covered entirely

First of all we need get passed in our 12th and we need to write an entrance exam called EAMCET exam and we should get atleat of 60 marks out of 160 marks to get the seat in best college, they teach well to het knowledge

Admission process starts here after the results of WBJEE exam. Applications for the admission in the college will be found in the college itself. The semester exam takes place every June and December.

- Classroom and lab playground lectures is very good
- Teachers r good, their behaviour and interaction

- Sometimes there are one r two teachers ar special treat their tution students
- Teachers are very less and also they Miss some classes

You have degree on any science department or background , application form is available on college website ,it's running now application process ,exam is quite little bit tough and tricky, physical admission process is better here

- Teacher are so friendly and they always help students like they are their own children
- The classroom are so big and with high tech instruments

- The canteen food is not so good its average
- The account management system is not so good its average
Admission:
At first we have to appear in to webjee exam. It's a entrance exam for any technical course like engineering pharmacy etc. after that we have to do counselling online . And the selection process is started already through ranking
Likes
- There is a green campus with different kinds trees and flowers.
- Nice lab with sufficient instruments and sufficient space.
Dislikes
- Location is quite good because are not urban.
- Capacity of lab is not sufficient except Computer lab.
Admission:
Admission process is very smooth and good. The admission cell of this college is good. Yes, you have to appear for the state level entrance exam to take the admission in this college if the rank of the cometative exam is under 10000 then you will be selected probabily.
Likes
- Big classrooms with proper light and fan. Every classroom has projection system and screen with a normal green board also.
- Teachers are very friendly and supportive. Labs are well equipped all the chemicals and reagents are there.
Dislikes
- There is a problem regarding internships.
- Officials at admission department talk rudely.
Admission:
The eligibility of my course - More than 55% in 12th board exams with science stream (having chemistry and biology). Although I got 79%. There is an admission test called the JIS Entrance Test (JET), which is mandatory to pass for admission. You will find application dates, and fee structure on the Official website you can call the admission cell ( number also provided at the website) for any quarry regarding admission, they are very helpful. Reservation is available for backward classes and minorities.

The application form for CAT/XAT/MAT aren’t available at the college’s website but rather in their official webpages. Admission to MBA at JIS University Kolkata is done based on the score card of above-mentioned exams.
Yes, you need to appear for entrance exam viz. WBJEE for admission to JIS University Kolkata and the exam will be conducted by April 29th 2024.
You need to pass the JIS University condcuted entrance examination with valid scores for taking admission to BCA.
JIS University admission to the courses is done through an online application process form available on the official website. Candidates need to appear for the entrance test conducted by the university for UG and PG programs.
JIS University offers B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Embedded Systems & Robotics. The university accepts JEE Main and WBJEE for admission. Check out more info: B.Tech at JIS University

The updated fee structure of MSc Geoinformatics has not been updated on JIS University's official website. It is expected that the fee structure will be updated soon.
You can now apply for whichever course you want to get admission at JIS University, as application process has started till Feb 20.
You need to appear for CAT/MAT/XAT for MBA course while for B.Tech and other courses, you need to appear WBJEE exam.
The entrance exam required for B.Tech is WBJEE and for MBA courses is CAT/MAT and for BBA is UGAT. However, you can check out the various entrance tests required for the University at JIS University Kolkata Admission.

There are no updates on the official website yet about when the Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) admission process will be starting for the 2023 session. The fee for the course is INR 1,23,000 for the duration of 2 years.
