- The faculty is extremely helpful and the teaching delivered is top notch, if one attends the classes regularly, the subject would seem extremely easy and interesting as well.
- The campus is very beautiful, the ancient structures of the buildings, the majestic corridors and halls echo the history of "Calcutta".

- There are placements in only 3 departments- Maths, Statistics, and Geology, other departments do not have any placement cells.
- The library should have more books, and the number of books one can borrow at a time should be atleast 5, instead of the current bar of 2.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is made to benefit the students. Stress is relayed on theoretical aspects and the subject matter, rather than technocrat-ish superficial learning. One can get a good grasp on the subject by the time they complete their graduation, and hence, can adapt to any form of work in their career.
Placement Experience :
Almost 70-80 % of the students get placed in msc statistics, and the average package is around 7-8LPA. There are many private banks, consultancies and other private firms who visit for placements. One can also opt for research after completion of the course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees is extremely low and affordable, for bsc stats, it's 2000 per semester(approx.). Even the hostel fees is quite low, while the hostel facilities are excellent. There are many scholarships available, based on 10+2 result, semester result, family income, caste reservations etc.
Campus Life :
There are two main fests, ISPAT and ICON, the more popular being ISPAT. There is also TPLF(The Presidency Literature Fest), there are departmental freshers, teachers' day celebrations, farewell programmes, etc etc. There are annual sports tournaments as well.
Admission :
One needs to pass the 10+2 examination from any recognised board. The application form, and other details are made available on the website itself. There is an entrance examination PUBDET, the eligibility criteria for bsc stats is 80% agg. (overall), and 70% in maths/stats at 10+2 level. The syllabus is same as the syllabus for maths in 11 and 12.
Faculty :
The faculty members are extremely cooperative. They are highly educated. The teacher to student ratio on an average throughout all departments is 1:25. One can interact with the professors anytime during the college hours and we are even allowed to text or call them should the need arise. Overall, if the number of faculty members is increased a little bit, then the academics would easily get a 10/10 score.
