The faculty is extremely helpful and the teaching delivered is top notch, if one attends the classes regularly, the subject would seem extremely easy and interesting as well.
The campus is very beautiful, the ancient structures of the buildings, the majestic corridors and halls echo the history of "Calcutta".

Dislikes

There are placements in only 3 departments- Maths, Statistics, and Geology, other departments do not have any placement cells.
The library should have more books, and the number of books one can borrow at a time should be atleast 5, instead of the current bar of 2.

Placement Experience:

Almost 70-80 % of the students get placed in msc statistics, and the average package is around 7-8LPA. There are many private banks, consultancies and other private firms who visit for placements. One can also opt for research after completion of the course.

Likes

Presidency University provides a good research facility and the professors are very well qualified. The course curriculum is very student friendly.
Presidency University regularly maintain the education system and the examination better than other universities.

Dislikes

The campus was not very big and other than the education facilities is more are less unavailable
Some time the semester was completed within 4-4.5 months.

Internships Opportunities:

In the presidency University intership opportunities are very good. Professors recommended we to get a internship program. Before 1 year our 1 senior (physics department)was get a internship program at the IIT Bombay . Every year many of students get intership at very good and famous institutions like IIT , NIT , IISER etc.

The faculty and their teaching methods with presentations and practical examples
The vast playing field, badminton/volleyball court and basketball court among others help students to relax

Dislikes

The canteen is a but over-priced and doesn't meet the hype it had. Same goes for the in-campus cha stall.
The syllabus is too enormous and it would be great if it's compartmentalised into two or more papers

Internships Opportunities:

The faculty, past PU students and seniors often share internships from other institutions like Ramkrishna Mission Vivekanada Centenary College, Rahara, IISERs and IITs among others. Various internships and workshops are held by reputed biotech and bioanalytical companies in the field of Biological Sciences like BioRad, ThermoFischer, etc wherein students and scholars can participate along with the faculty. Unpaid projects are provided to the students in the final semester under their desired professor on which they are to prepare their Master's dissertation thesis.

I like the student and teacher friendly relationship, they are so much helpful towards us. Besides our HOD is also very much frank to us and whenever we face any problem they get to call up a meeting and there we can address our problems

Dislikes

I don't like the regressive political culture and environment in our university

Internships Opportunities:

Sometimes In our department our professors offer some kind of internship where we can get opportunity to learn and help our professor in certainly field,, we will not get stipend but certificate which will help in our future to create a strong CV

Campus, classrooms and other likes sports etc.
I Like the societies which combines us in a broad spectrum.

Dislikes

There is single ground for football and cricket.
I dislike the politics which is running in the college campus

Internships Opportunities:

In our department of life science there is no job opportunity by the placement process. But in the geology department there placement is done . In our department many research works are going on which are for human welfare.

The campus is really student friendly , the infrastructure and department is also really good and helpful.
I also like the college as it is provides further opportunities to in the international colleges.

Dislikes

Food prices in the canteen should be reduced more , and the quality of the food should also be checked time to time.
More break duration should be given , and the id card system should be abolished

Internships Opportunities:

There are internships in the college but in my department BA honours there are really less internships however compared to the other courses like in science and other department , internships are available.

Firstly the people here are imbued with postmodern mindset
The environment is enriching and provides one with so much experience

Dislikes

Unfriendly university administration, and negligence for the students
University ignored more than one hundred students' food and shelter scarcity

Internships Opportunities:

Gandhi Fellowship, opportunity for studying abroad for one semester, TCS, many NGOs are there, however it is a research University so one should not expect placements opportunities much at least for humanities, although some of the departments give ample opportunities for placement and internships

There are department which have placement like Statistics, Geology and Economics like others departments have internships. Slumbazaar is a company which gave placement. There are lots projects where students are working.

The think the campus is a bit small the buildings are congested
The playing ground is very short as well.

Internships Opportunities:

There are different companies that take place in case of offering internships. SLB, CGWB and many are there. Also one can have direct internship under some professor as well. One can apply for outer companies as well and the department does allow to attend such internship programs

Fest are always best in my university because the people around them are very supportive and hardworking

Ganja cigg alcohol and all 😂😂 but no its okay
