The entrance to our institution is primarily done on the basis of our ranks in the JEE (MAIN) examinations, post which students which clear the cutoff for JEE (MAIN) are allowed to sit for the JOSAA counselling.
For the admission into the college we need to qualify in JEE Mains and needs to gain a good rank. we need to go through certificate verification procedure.
Campus placements start from the 7th semester onwards. In 2020, 116 companies came for recruitment, and 506 offers were given. Infosys, Capgemini, PwC, Qualcomm, Samsung, JCB, Alstom, Cognizant, and ZS Associates were some of the companies that visited. 634 students participated, and 456 students were placed. There were 50 double job offers. The highest CTC offered was 33 LPA, and the average CTC was 9.09 LPA. The placement percentage was 71.92 %. I plan to work after getting the degree.

I always wanted to get into an IIT/NIT. Since, I didn't score well enough to get into any IIT, I thought of going into an NIT. Also, this was the nearest NIT from my home, and my parents had asked me not to choose any college too far away. Moreover, NIT Durgapur has sufficiently good placement and other stats. All these factors made me choose this college.
None as such. A big positive are cooperative friends, faculty and seniors who become kind of a family during the time we stay in contact. A negative comment will be that people of different cultures often fail to adjust, whichead to unpleasantness.
Pros: College of National Importance, Decent placement, Good Hostels, Extracurricular Activities, Overall nice atmosphere. Cons: The Academic curriculum should be better, there should be more practical classes than theoretical, The exam pattern.
We have to appear her mains exam and get a good rank after that we have to sit for the counciling process through Jossa website, then we have to report in to the reporting centre for the choice which I have filled in the timebof counciling that's it
This college is an awesome place. One meets new people from all over the country. Makes new friends. There are so many opportunities in this college. One has to be clever enough to get all the things he or she can get from this college.
Overall i can say that yhe college is in its developing stage. So there are some negative points obviously.but yes .our new director seems to be doing a lot of work to get our college a good infrastructure and also improve its ranking, we just hope for the beat of facilities for us
