The flexibility about the hostel timings is good as we can go out any time in the night whenever we feel hungry.
There is a mental health clinic in our campus so that any student can go there if he/she feels stressed.

The weather in this region is extreme . It is either extreme hot or extreme cold.
The number of students in my college is very less and also the alumni network is very small.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course which I am pursuing is Chemical Engineering. In these course we are tought how to scale up the production of any new chemical discovered by the researchers. We are tought about the various chemical plants used in the industries. The course can be improved by the additon of practical labs.

Class Size : 35Course Fees : INR 104000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

One can go for internship in the field of chemical engineering if he has done some projects in the field. One can also go in the field of Quantum computing and software development internship with stipend.

Placement Experience :

In the branch of chemical engineering a student of final year, that is, 4th year is eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are bechtel and few more. Almost 85 percent students got placed in the year 2023. My plans after the degree is to get a job.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

In my college the fees for students are different based on their categories and family income. For a general candidate there is a concession in the fees if their family income is less than 5 lakhs. There is no hike in the tution fees in consecutive semester. There is no such name for financial aid scheme you can avail them if you fit the criteria as mentioned above. You can work as an Teaching Asistant if you are a M.tech or P.hd student and you will get paid for this.

Campus Life :

We have numerous of events happening in our college which make our campus life very enjoyable as it helps as a stress releaser from the academic pressure. The cultural fest of ou college is Zeitgeist. Sports fest is AArohan. Tech fest is Advitya. Literature fest is Malhar. Gaming fest is Ravanche. There is a library in our college however the size of the library is small. There are various sports played in our college like cricket, football, volleyball, table tennis, lawn tennis etc. Also there are clubs which covers wide range of extracurricular activities like photography, dance, singing, videography, oratory, debate, entrepreneurshipo etc.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels alloted to us are very good. There is everyday cleaning of the hostel rooms and the washrooms. As per the fees for the semester , that is, Rs.3200 we are getting so much facilities. There is no restrictions in the hostel in-out timings. Mess food is average.

Hostel Fee : INR 3200 per year

Admission :

I got into the college by clearing one of Indias toughest exam, that is, JEE Advanced. As per the rank obtained by me I got the branch of Chemical Engineering. For giving this exam you need to fill the application form on the official sote of JoSAA. Firstly, you need to qualify JEE(Mains) and then you give JEE(Advanced). The syllabus of both the exam is based on 11th and 12th standard of CBSE. In a year JEE(mains) happens 2 times and JEE(Advanced) occurs 1 time, and a student can give JEE(Mains) only for 3 consecutive years and JEE(Advanced) for 2 consecutive years. Even if you don't give the exam after passing class 12 then also your academic year will be counted.

From passing 2nd year onwards students are eligible for the placements classes which costs around 10-12k till 4th year. I'm from mechanical field so the highest package is around 18 lakhs and average package goes to 4-6 lakhs.

Inside LPU: Student's prespective

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as I was passionate about coding from my 10th class and technology always fascinates me. In our class, total students were 70 which was same for most of the sections. Some faculty members of my college were good while most of them were tolerable. Most of them had masters degree and some had done PhD. They were focused mostly on the curricullum designed by the university and completed syllabus within the timeline.Our college had separate marks for attendance and any student with below 75 attendance will not be able to give end term exams except for some medical condition. We had CAs (class assement exams), mid term exams and end term exams. The CAs are little bit higher level as that of mid and end terms exams. Overall exams are moderate to higher and someone who had studied the syllabus topics and followed the faculty members will easy pass the exam.

A Closer Look at LPU: A Student's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Placement of cse is very good with respect to other branches. Almost 70–80% of eligible students(having cgpa more than 6.67) get placed in different mnc’s. 1.package less than 4 lacs 80% of placed students get package of less than 4 lacs in companies like cognizant,tcs,techmahindra etc. 2.package in between 4–7 lacs 15% of placed students falls in this category,they get companies like bosch,yodlee,hitachi etc. 3.package of approx 15 lacs Remaining 5% students get placement in amazon(package 16 lpa) which visit lpu every year.

Only one thing I hate about college is they don't paint the building outside of the whole college for income tax purpose I think this is very disappointing thing of the college But otherwise College is good.
