Course Curriculum Overview:
I was interested to take electronics as my basic as I am in awe to know more about gadgets. The faculty in Vssut, Burla of the ETC department was very much approachable and very much supportive. They are very qualified for IITs and NITs and are recognized by central government organizations. Talking about the examination part it was difficult compared to other colleges in the state but I managed with teachers being supportive.

- Facilities For students in hostel like playground and free high speed internet
- Annual fest As discussed before (samavesh, cussing, illumina)
Dislikes
- Exam patten ( qsb-ans and mark ratio), some teacher give good marks and some are not. For a same answer mark may vary with teacher to teacher
- Syllabus (syllabus is over loaded for students to complete in a semester and for teacher also. As a result teacher skip some topics
Placement Experience:
Placement record is quiet good with 6.5 LPA. Almost every student is placed at the end of final year. There are many companies comes for placement like tata, mahindra, wipro, aditya birla group, i serve u, L&T and more. Almost 30+ companies. Sslary vary 6- 12+ LPA

- Campus life is good nearby places are great to visit.
- Placement is also decent as compared to other colleges.
Dislikes
- Sometimes things done in name of culture is not appropriate
- We need proper maintenance in college washrooms.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The exams in my semesters are average but the marking in the electronics department is a little strict. However, I have no current backlogs and I have a decent cgpa too sometimes it's difficult to pass in a few subjects but it depends upon the students' mentality and goals too.
Placement Experience:
They provide placement support for both final and pre-final year students. Companies like byjus, Deloitte, and TCS are coming for placement drives. The college avarage package is 7 lpa from my department 50% to 60% of students get placed in core companies like L&T, and Vedanta.

The placement cell is very good here. Students from the 6th sem are eligible for placements. Most of the MNCs visit our campus including Tcs, Infosys Wipro Cognizant IBM Deloitte PwC Aditya Birla, Tata steel, Tata power etc Placement is about 98%. Highest package of our batch -18LPA Average package - 5.5LPA Most the students opt for jobs after college and so will i.
Placement Experience:
The placement in College is quite good. Many Companies come for Placement like Infosys, Deloitte, MCL, Tata, etc. Students from the 3rd semester become eligible for Campus Placement. The average package differs with Companies average overall being 6 lpa and the highest package upto 11lpa. The percentage of students getting placed is about 90%. My plan is to become an entrepreneur after completing my degree.
Placement Experience:
VSSUT has a great history of campus placement as it offers very good and high rated campuses for placement. Campus such as WIPRO, TCS, DELOITTE, etc. The students scoring a CGPA of at least 7.5 are eligible for getting placement in campuses. The maximum package varies from 40000-50000 INR per month. The placement percentage is very high at our college. It has a minimum placement percent of 90%. As I have a field of interest in my branch subject, I will go for a job in my branch subject only.
Remarks:
Talking about the college management it is very good, but about the college administration, it's really bad. They hardly listen to any problem from the students. As it is a government college, no one really cares. They have to make their own money. Over all I will say a very good college with good faculties and students with bad administration.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
