Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) is ranked at the 190th position by NIRF 2021 rankings in the Engineering category list, The rank has now improved from previous year which was the rank band 201-250. BPUT offers various UG and PG courses in various disciplines such as architecture, engineering, computer studies, management, and pharmacy.

The most popular programs offered at BPUT are B.Tech/B.E. and MBA. The varsity accepts JEE Mains and OJEE for admission to B.Tech. While for MBA, admissions are done based on OJEE only. Biju Patnaik University of Technology has a dedicated training and placement cell that facilitates job opportunities for students. The number of recruiters of BPUT is not that high during placements. How to Avail Biju Patnaik University of Technology Scholarship?

Candidates can avail of the scholarship by filling the online application form available on the Odisha State Scholarship Portal. Students are required to fill out the application form on time to be eligible for the scholarship. Moreover, the varsity displays information about ongoing scholarships in the BPUT notice section.

BPUT Result

Biju Patnaik University of Technology follows a semester system for its UG and PG courses. For evaluating its students, the varsity conducts semester-end examinations twice in an academic year known as even semester examinations and odd semester examinations. Recently, it released BPUT Result 2022 on its official website. Students who have appeared for the exam can check their results on the online portal with the help of their registration number.

Visit the Biju Patnaik University official website at bput.ac.in.
Click on the “Examination” tab available on the homepage and select the “Results” button.
A new window of “BPUT Exam” will open on the screen.

Ques. How many teaching weeks are there in the BPUT B.Tech course?

Ans. The number of teaching weeks in each semester of the B.Tech course offered at Biju Patnaik University shall be fifteen to eighteen with a minimum of 90 teaching days excluding the period of examination.

Ques. What is the maximum duration of completing BPUT UG courses?

Ans. A student who is weak in studies can complete a 4-year UG program of BPUT in not more than 7 years, a 3 year UG program not exceeding 5 years, while the 5 year UG program, not more than 8 years.

Ques. Is there any seat reservation at BPUT for physically handicapped students?

Ans. Yes, some of the seats at BPUT are reserved for physically handicapped students, however, they are required to satisfy the prescribed medical fitness norms.

Ques. Can a B.Tech student at BPUT change his/her branch?

Ans. Yes, any student pursuing B.Tech at BPUT may be allowed a change in their branch after they have completed the course requirements for the first and second semesters. The change in a branch will be done subject to the availability of seats in a program. The selection shall be based on merit through candidates’ combined results in the first two semesters.

Ans. Students who have appeared for the BPUT Exam for both UG and PG courses can check their BPUT Result on the notice section available on the official website of the varsity. Students are required to visit the official website at bput.ac.in. Then, they need to select the examination tab and click on the BPUT exam result. Ques. How a student is evaluated at BPUT?

Ans. Students at BPUT are required to maintain the required credit points for each semester as per the rules formulated by AICTE. Each discipline at Biju Patnaik University consists of 4 things: Theory, Practical, Sessional, and Project work. A student is evaluated based on the above-mentioned 4 criteria.

About pmec pros and cons.

Likes

The environment of this college is best. And the greeny environment is best thing about this college
There is a big open playground for the outdoor games. The Library facility also very good
Fest are helding every year. Every students are welcome to the fest. And it also organise grandly.

Dislikes

The toilets are not clean and sometimes the odour is very high. Sometimes water is not available.
The teaching pace is not good as some teachers don't able to complete their syllabus.
There is no auditorium and no indoor game facilities. Club didn't get their respective special rooms .

Students view on course curriculum

The main reason for choosing cse in this college is the vast demand of cse in today's market. And the college fees also affordable. There should be more improvement in studies. As most of the teachers unable to complete their syllabus. And before exam they paces the teaching style and it hampers in students' understanding skills. There should be improvement in digital study also. As the smart boards available in the classroom are not working. The exams are not very difficult. But the marking system is very poor.

Paid internship and project opportunity provided by the college

There are internship helding regarding the super computer and various companies like TCS give projects to the college. Which is done by the students in college. There is facilities for it. And the stipend around 10000 per project per every student.

Placement scenario in campus, average and highest package being offered

From 7th semester the students are eligible for campus placement. The campus placement about 50 percent. Which is quite low . There is good scope for electrical, cse and etc branch students for get job in campus. and the average package is around 320000 per annum. The highest package previous year was 1200000. There are not so named companies come for campus placement. Some companies are Wipro, cognizant, Accenture etc.

Fees of the course per year and scholarship available in the college

The 1st year admission fees is around 40000. Which is excluded the 2nd semester registration fees that is 1500. So the total fees is around 42000. From which tution fees is 12000. After that from second year to fourth year the addmission fees is around 27000. There are many scholarship schemes like in kalia scholarship scheme you will get the full amount of joining fees so technically you studies in free. For post matric scholarship the amount is 20000 for general category which can be applied by anyone if their parents don't have government jobs . There is also Nirman sharmik scholarship which amount is 40000.

Events organized, clubs and facilities available in the campus

Every year the annual fest is held in March to May named as Exburance. It is of 3 day fest. Along side that branch fest also organise by ever branch and various competitions also helds. Which carries prize money also. In Library every kind of book you will get. Classroom facilities are not so good but not bad also. Sports and extra curricular activities are held regularly in college. There are many clubs for student improvement. And the clubs are also very good and best environment in it. It will really helpful for the students to increase their side activities.

Admission Process of the college

To eligible for applying in parala maharaja engineering college. You have to give jee mains or ojee. The cutoff rank of jee mains for cse branch is around 180000 for general category and for reservation category it may be goes around 300000. For other branches also the cutoff rank varies from 300000 to 500000. For apply you have to go through ojee counselling and after final seat allotment you will get the application form,date and fees structure in pmec website. just search pmec in Google and you will get the pmec website. The reservation is same as odisha government schemes. You will get enough time for preparation of odd semester. Like 4 months but for even semester you will get only 2 months so time is not enough for preparation. That's why mark secured in odd semester is generally higher than even semesters. There should be improvement for the college website for ojee counselling also as many students who don't know about the process suffers is misinformation.

Strict policy against ragging and other forms of harrassment.
Infrastructure like libraries were well-equipped with course materials, and reading rooms.

Dislikes

Infrastructure like washrooms were not very clean, or unavailability of ramps for the physically challenged, the classrooms were not technologically equipped

Admission:

CET, Bhubaneswar is the ranked the No. 1 college under the Government of Odisha. I had appeared for the IIT-JEE so, as per my ranking, I was able to secure a seat in this college. The admission process, too, had been very smooth, with different dates allocated to different departments which made it less crowded and faster.

And I also got a confirmed admission letter from many colleges in Bhubaneswar, but I didn't go there because my elder cousin brothers are also in this college, and they told me about this college and suggested I take admission in this college. And the fees of this college are also affordable for me.

Campus life is amazing. No one can stop for doing any innovative thing. You can also improve your athletic carrer.
There is a swimming pool. Everyday you can enjoy your life in campus and improve your self.
Infrastructure of college is so good. It spreads upon 100 acres of land. College is good for MBA, agriculture and btech CSE

Admission:

According to money factor this college is great. Under such low fee college is great for providing course other than any college. I applied for SOA University and course fee is too high there. Also my college is a university. So there is no worry about anything. For admission in giet you have applied for OJEE odisha and contact a marketing officer or direct join in college. You have to pay 10-15 thousand rupees for advance fees. In admission day you have to pay hlaf of your fees in one year. You will get everything in that day. Rank doesn't matter here

I chose C V Raman Global University due to its placement, less fees and modern infrastructure and updated curriculum. Compared to other colleges I apploed to CVRGU offered better labs industry exposure and a more practical learninf approach. I couldn't make it to few government colleges due to cut- off ranks. The admission process was smooth through OJEE counselling and diect admission for management quota

You get plenty of holiday. Every Saturdays and sundays off
They have active clubs where you can play chess carrom according to your preference

Admission:

I almost spoke to all colleges including soa university but none of them give admission to pcb students. Which is why i chose this over others. You have to pass 12th with 60%(pcb,pcm,pcmb) and you have to either appear jee or ojee or c.v.raman's own entrance exam

What is the process to obtain a migration certificate from BPUT? Can I get it on the same day if it's urgent?

Here is the step-by-step process to obtain a migration certificate from BPUT

Step 1: Get an application form to apply for a migration certificate along with the college registration ID.
Step 2: Fill in this application form and get it signed by your college principal.
Step 3: Attach the Migration certificate fees of Rs 100/- in the form of a demand draft in favor of BPUT payable at Rourkela with the application form and then send it to BPUT, Rourkela.

You are likely to receive the migration certificate within a few days. I think it’s difficult to get the certificate immediately but you can try coming to BPUT Rourkela once your application form has been signed by your college authority. Meet the concerned officer here and ask if they can get your work done right away. If you are lucky, you might as well get the certificate on the spot.

You will be glad to know that scoring good marks in BPUT is rather easy. Here are a few simple tips to score good marks

Study from all the previous years' question papers
and trust me you will be able to get at least 50 marks questions in your semester from them.
Try to solve these papers yourself initially and then refer to the solved papers for correction.
Solve all previous years' questions at least once before exams.
Focus the most on 2-mark questions and learn all by heart.
Move on to the long questions carrying 10 marks only after you are done with the short ones.
Start studying at least a month prior to your semester exams.
Attempt the short questions carrying 2 marks first and then start attempting the long questions.
Never leave a question unanswered and always write something related to the question even if it’s a formula.

Following the above steps will surely help you gain knowledge and score good marks.

Here is the procedure to procure the university transcript online from BPUT

Step -1: Download the transcript application form from the BPUT website.
Step-2: Fill in the form and also attach an application explaining why you need it, and also the demand draft, and advertisement from the international college you are applying to.
Step-3: Get all the above papers attested by your college.
Step-4: Personally apply at the BPUT Rourkela office with all the verified documents.

Usually, the request is accepted in 7 days and therefore you can collect the certificate on the 8th day

Download the syllabus from the official website and start studying even before classes commence.
You can buy the textbooks or borrow them from the college library and start studying before classes.
Don’t solely depend on booms but surf the Internet for updated study material.
Make a small group of students from diverse branches and work on some practical projects.
Complete a summer course of 1 month during the semester break and 15 days during the winter break. This will improve the quality of your resume.
Don’t panic if you end up getting a back as usually, the back papers are very easy.

If you aren’t the studious type, you can just buy JPH and Alok Publication Books of every paper of the semester well before the exams.
