In the fifth semester, we are eligible for job internships and placement starts at 7th semester. And placements are above 90%. The highest is 84 lakhs per annum and the average is 18.26 lakhs per annum. At NIT students should not think about placements because this is the platform where everyone gets place but the importance is to skills so improve maximum skills in 4 years of course.

Students are eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The selection process is done online in IRIS Portal and by Career Development Centre. More than 200 companies visit every year. The selection process and eligibility depend on company to company. The highest package is 50lpa and the average package is around 11lpa. Almost all students who apply for placements get placed in some or the other company. I plan to work in a big MNC and do business side by side.

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.
The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.
NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
