DTU Admission 2024 Quick Updates
DTU B.Tech Admission 2024 is open based on the JEE Main scores. JAC Delhi Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1 for all categories. Further, the Seat Allotment Results for Round 2 & Round 3 will be declared on July 6 & July 11 respectively. Candidates who have applied for the B.Tech admission can check the allotment results on the official website @jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in.
Other updates of DTU are as follows:
- GATE CCMT Round 3 Seat Allotment Result is out for DTU M.Tech Admission 2024. The deadline for online admission (PI Reporting) by depositing the partial admission fee is July 6 - 10 (by 5:30 PM).
- DTU Ph.D. Admission 2024 is also open. The computer-based test for the July session is scheduled for July 3, 2024 & July 4, 2024.
DTU Admission 2024 are expected to start in June 2024. DTU Accepts JEE Main Scores for BTech Admission, and GATE scores for M.Tech Admission. Apart from BTech and MTech courses DTU also offers BBA, BDes, BA Hons programs at the UG Level. DTU accepts BDes admission based on UCEED scores of the candidates. For admission to BBA and BA Hons programs CUET UG Score is considered.
At postgraduate level, DTU offers MBA and MSc programs and PhD is offered at doctoral level. DTU B.Tech Admission 2024
DTU offers the flagship BTech program in 16 specializations namely Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Production and Industrial Engineering, etc. DTU also accepts applications from the best-qualified applicants for B.Tech lateral entry admissions. NRI/ PIO/ Foreign Nationals candidates, on the other hand, can apply for admission through DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad). DTU offers BBA, BA at UG Levelprograms. University School of Management & Entrepreneurship (USME) is the new campus of Delhi Technological University located in East Delhi. DTU BDes & MDes Admissions 2024
DTU offers a BDes program at the UG level for four years with a total intake capacity of 123 seats. DTU BDes admissions are done based on UCEED scores. The DTU Bdes program will not be offered as part of IIT Bombay's Joint Admission Process in 2024–2025. Additionally, DTU provides a two-year MDes degree in design, with three different areas of specialization. The MDes course admission process is determined by CEED scores. DTU Offers MBA programs in various specializations at the Delhi School of Management (DSM) and the University School of Management & Entrepreneurship (USME). The intake of the MBA program at DTU is 40.

- Candidate should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% (50% for SC/ST/ PWD) marks in any Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university

DTU also offers PhD programs in a wide range of areas in Engineering, Science, and humanities. DTU also provides admission to Ph.D. under the AICTE Quality Improvement program and AICTE Doctoral Fellowship program. DTU provides PhD programs under the Following Categories.

Ques. What are the different UG programs offered at DTU?
Ans. DTU offers multiple programs at the UG level in the Engineering, Design, and Arts fields. The programs are BTech, BDes, BA, and BBA. Admissions to these programs are based on the national entrance examinations. Further, the counselling authorities release rounds of cutoff and seat allotments to allocate seats at the institute.

Ans. DTU offers a full-time BTech course in 15 different specialisations. Ques. Can I apply for Lateral Entry at DTU?
Ans. DTU offers a 3-year-long BTech Lateral program in 15 different specialisations. Candidates who have completed a diploma or a BSc degree can apply for this program. Also, the institute accepts the DTU LEET scores which is a lateral entry entrance test conducted by DTU. - I love the campus, it's huge it's beautiful and you'll love exploring the campus

- Faculties in electrical department is a bit scary, they are very strict for attendence... But you just have to be a good student they'll do nothing against you
- It's very hard to make friends here if you are a girl.. it's been one year and I still can't find one
Admission:
Admission process was preety simple the jac website will alot you your college and branch according to your jee mains marks and your preference and then you have to show up in the college and you also have to pay some amount for requesting your seat on hold for you .. I paid 95 thousand so you have to make sure that you'll arrange it otherwise you can loose your seat .. then DTU committee will check your documents and then you'll get update from when you have to join the college.. it was preety simple process

- DTU still has this 75% attendance criteria for appearing the semester exams. which i don't like at all.
Admission:
For admission in any course of engineering in DTU you have to give JEE-MAINS exam and on the basis of your JEE-mains rank you will get admission in DTU. You also have to register in JAC-DELHI counselling which handle admission of DTU, NSUT, IIITD, IGDTUW and DESU. The cutoff of DTU is not very high as in 2023 General closing rank for CSE was 13035 and for Biotech it was 104566

- Faculties in the university are very nice, supportive and very skilled. Their teaching style is awesome except some senior ones. In library also, you may get all the books required with your course.
- Placement ratio is also good for DTU. Many famous MNCs like infosys visit here.
Dislikes
- In labs, experiments are not demonstrated to the students. You are just given a manual and you have to perform the experiments on your own. No matters if you have covered the topic in your theory class or not.
Admission:
There is a reservation of 85% for Delhi students. To be admitted to DTU, you must crack JEE Mains with a decent rank and you can get into it easily. For the cutoff of previous years, you can visit the college Pravesh site. You can be admitted to the college by applying for JAC Delhi counseling. EWS certificate should be for the current financial year. Mid-term exams are 1.5 hours and half of the syllabus is asked. End Terms are 3 hours with the full syllabus. Mid-term goes for 1 week and end term can extend upto one month.

- The teaching staff is not very good. Students have to study themselves before every exams.
- There are not much facilities for girls washrooms throughout the campus even though the campus is huge
Admission:
The admission process was decent but not too easy. There was a little chaos and if any of your documents were not correct then you would have to go through a lot of trouble. I got a seat because of my OBC quota.

- College is very huge in land area so much to explore. The environment, seniors, professors everything single thing is amazing. Freedom for everything most of the sports are available and tournament serves as opportunities.
- The fests is a outstanding point when it comes to DTU.
Dislikes
- There is nothing such like that but traveling inside campus sometimes causes pain in knees. So there should be a mini rickshaw for students and no fare.
Admission:
You have to give jee mains exam for this college and to do so you should opt for Science stream in 11 and 12 class. Class 12 percentage should be more than 75% to apply for this exam. After clearing this exam you should apply for jac Delhi counseling that's how you will get this college. Admission process is very simple and smooth if you have all the documents right and legal.

The process of getting into this college is through the JEE mains exam which is given after the 12th or single drop here you can basically find the application form on the JEE mains site the exam has been conducted by NTA. Delhi students gets 85% result seats in this college. Difficulty of JEE mains exam is very good. Students does get negative marks if taken the exam lightly. Improvement can be done in the counselling process where students gets rejected if they commit a very my minute mistake. Reserved seats of students belonging to OBC SC ST as well as single girl child does get reservation benefits in this college.

- Delhi Technological University has one of the biggest campus in Delhi with many food and beverage stalls, wide and big sport grounds and open green spaces to hang out with your friends.
- DTU is recognized for it's strong academic programs, be it engineering, design or economics.

- DTU Main Campus is located in a non-developed area and hence connectivity for the day-scholars is difficult.
- The college does not provide internships, although, students tend to make a WhatsApp group and share possible opportunities there.
Admission:
I got in DTU, Bachelor of Design course through an entrance exam named UCEED. It happens in January, after NID entrance exam. The examination assesses your creativity, drawing skills, design, visualization skills and problem solving abilities. It is 3 hour exam which includes basic mathematics, mental ability and sketching.

What is the admission procedure at DTU?
Here is the detailed procedure one needs to follow to get admission at DTU
- Firstly you have to appear for JEE Mains paper-1 exam and qualify for the DTU cutoff
- Next, register your account in JAC Delhi for which you will have to pay fees. This platform processes admission for 4 colleges namely DTU, NSUT, IGDTU, and IIIT Delhi.
- Once you have entered all the details in JAC, you will have to fill in a choice filling form that has 27 options to choose from. Choose wisely because you will get branches according to this preference order only.
- You will receive an allotment letter if you get selected in the first round. Before visiting the campus you will have to fill out another form on your JAC Delhi account. You will also have to pay fees to JAC Delhi and bring the receipt to the university.
- Bring 4-5 copies of all the required documents. Once your documents are verified you will get an admission slip.
- If you fail to get your choice in the first round, you will have to appear in the second round. Once you get a set in the second round you will virtually receive a new allotment letter.
- This counseling will continue for 6 months after which you will have to pay the remaining fees to the allotted university.

You’ll get a month to fill out the form. In the form, you’ll have to fill out your choice of colleges in the order of preference.
You’ll get the best option according to your rank, from among the colleges/branches you select. Fill out this form with utmost care. You’ll be allotted your college on the day of JAC Delhi counseling. It is important to note that NSUT, DTU and IIITD reserve 85% of their seats for students who complete their +2 from Delhi NCT, and only 15% seats are made available for outsiders.

Can I get into DTU with 90 Percentile?
As per the previous year data, if a candidate scores the 90 percentile in the General Category for the Home and Other state candidates, the Predicted rank ranges between 108240 and 123890 rank.
One can get admission into Delhi Technological University but in their preferred branches, with 90 percentile marks.
If you are focusing on top branches like CSE, IT, Mechanical then you have to secure at least 99-98 percentile.
For other branches like chemical, civi or biotechnology you have pretty good chances.
