Ques. Can I apply for Lateral Entry at DTU?
Ans. DTU offers a 3-year-long BTech Lateral program in 15 different specialisations. Candidates who have completed a diploma or a BSc degree can apply for this program. Admission process was preety simple the jac website will alot you your college and branch according to your jee mains marks and your preference and then you have to show up in the college and you also have to pay some amount for requesting your seat on hold for you .. I paid 95 thousand so you have to make sure that you'll arrange it otherwise you can loose your seat .. then DTU committee will check your documents and then you'll get update from when you have to join the college.. it was preety simple process

For admission in any course of engineering in DTU you have to give JEE-MAINS exam and on the basis of your JEE-mains rank you will get admission in DTU. You also have to register in JAC-DELHI counselling which handle admission of DTU, NSUT, IIITD, IGDTUW and DESU. The cutoff of DTU is not very high as in 2023 General closing rank for CSE was 13035 and for Biotech it was 104566

There is a reservation of 85% for Delhi students. To be admitted to DTU, you must crack JEE Mains with a decent rank and you can get into it easily. For the cutoff of previous years, you can visit the college Pravesh site. You can be admitted to the college by applying for JAC Delhi counseling. EWS certificate should be for the current financial year. Mid-term exams are 1.5 hours and half of the syllabus is asked. End Terms are 3 hours with the full syllabus. Mid-term goes for 1 week and end term can extend upto one month.

The admission process was decent but not too easy. There was a little chaos and if any of your documents were not correct then you would have to go through a lot of trouble. I got a seat because of my OBC quota.

You have to give jee mains exam for this college and to do so you should opt for Science stream in 11 and 12 class. Class 12 percentage should be more than 75% to apply for this exam. After clearing this exam you should apply for jac Delhi counseling that's how you will get this college. Admission process is very simple and smooth if you have all the documents right and legal.

The process of getting into this college is through the JEE mains exam which is given after the 12th or single drop here you can basically find the application form on the JEE mains site the exam has been conducted by NTA. Delhi students gets 85% result seats in this college. Difficulty of JEE mains exam is very good. Students does get negative marks if taken the exam lightly. Improvement can be done in the counselling process where students gets rejected if they commit a very my minute mistake. Reserved seats of students belonging to OBC SC ST as well as single girl child does get reservation benefits in this college.

I got in DTU, Bachelor of Design course through an entrance exam named UCEED. It happens in January, after NID entrance exam. The examination assesses your creativity, drawing skills, design, visualization skills and problem solving abilities. It is 3 hour exam which includes basic mathematics, mental ability and sketching.

As per the previous year data, if a candidate scores the 90 percentile in the General Category for the Home and Other state candidates, the Predicted rank ranges between 108240 and 123890 rank.
One can get admission into Delhi Technological University but in their preferred branches, with 90 percentile marks.
If you are focusing on top branches like CSE, IT, Mechanical then you have to secure at least 99-98 percentile.
For other branches like chemical, civi or biotechnology you have pretty good chances.
