DTU B.Tech is a four-year UG program available in 16 specializations. Admission to the B.Tech program at DTU is done as per the JEE Main Score followed by JAC Delhi Counselling. DTU B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 60% marks in aggregate of PCM, and have passed in English from a recognized board or an equivalent.
  • SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Selection will be based on the score obtained in JEE Main exam results.
  • JAC will conduct the counselling session and allot seats based on ranking and seat availability.

Once the JEE Main result is out, DTU publishes B.Tech admission notification on its official website. Applications are filled on JAC Delhi website. The step wise process to fill the DTU B.Tech applications are given below:

  • Visit https://jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in/.
  • Enter the JEE Main application number, Name (as per JEE admit card), and Date of Birth (as per JEE application)
  • If the details match candidates have to enter their email ID and phone number to register
  • The registration form includes all the information regarding academics contact details and education qualifications. 
  • After successfully verifying the form, one has to fill up the currently active bank details and upload the important documents.
  • One has to pay a nonrefundable counselling cum registration fee of INR 1500.
  • After successful payment, enter the preferences of colleges for seat allotment.

DTU B.Tech (Lateral) Admission Criteria

The minimum eligibility required for Lateral admission to the DTU BTech program is a Diploma/BTech degree in Engineering. To be more specific, candidates must have:

  • Three-year regular Diploma in any branch of Engineering awarded by any State Board of Technical Education/Diploma recognized by AICTE, Delhi with 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Admission to the DTU BTech (Lateral Entry) program is done through the DTU LEET.
  • Candidates submitting a printout of the duly filled online application form are considered for the entrance exam. The application form is to be first filled out online at the DTU website and then a hard copy of the form is to be submitted at the campus. The application fee required to complete the process is INR 1,500.

Ques. What are the admission criteria for admission to the BTech program at DTU?

Ans. DTU offers a 4-year duration BTech program at the UG level. The institute allows admission to this program based on meeting certain eligibility criteria, and national entrance exam scores are also considered.
