I first semester we got only 2 faculty who were from design background and they both are too good and few of our professors are from engineering background who don't even know how a designer work so it bother us as we feel a bit demotivated their. But yes they all are good and helpful if we approach them they willingly help us

Faculty-to-student ratio: This ratio varies from one department to other. In branches like CSE, ECE , the ratio is more balanced but the branches where the intake is more will have less teachers. On an average, the ratio could range from 1:15 to 1:20. In CSE, Sanjeev sofat Sir, Rajesh Bhatia Sir, Trilok Chand Sir and Padmavati mam are senior level teachers and very experienced and knowledgeful and are always ready help the students. In PEC, the examinations curriculum includes two exams in 1 semester mid seems and end seems. Also there are a number of quizzes and lab evaluations and assignments which have their respective weightages.

Faculty student ratio is about good ( 1 teacher on every 10 students). Also new faculty is being hired to replace the older ones and also. I personally love faculties from the electrical department (Dr. Anu Singla) and personally did'nt like certain teachers from civil and production department

The faculty of the institution are friendly and helpful on an average.. some of them are irritable and not so helpful to students Some renowned faculties include Dr. Shimi (Electrical Dept.) and Dr. Sanjay Batish (CSE Dept.) who have received laurels at the national and state level No particular faculties i didnt like There are 2 major exams per semester with 2-3 short quizes, all of them graded. Assignments are given at regular intervals. There arent a lot of failures.. People who do receive backs in any subject are able to clear them in the next attempt. The course curriculum is relevant in 95% of the places.. in subjects like engineering drawing, outdated methods are taught which arent that prominent and in-demand in the industry

Faculty of computer science department is chill but rest of the departments are a bit tight on terms of curriculum and attendance. There are mainly two exams in one semester one is the mid-sem and other is end-sem covering 80% marks and the rest comprises of quizzes, assignment submission on time , practicals. The relationship with some faculty members is very good whereas some of the teachers are very bad and don't even have the full knowledge of what they teach. Dr. Manish kamboj is one of the faculty member whom I find to be a great mentor to us ,he even involved us in his own project to work on.

The faculty of the college is not very good but it's not too bad either. Faculty is enough and there is no shortage . There are two main exams mid sem and end sem .and rest evaluation on quizes , practicals , projects , etc.

Faculty to students ratio will be 1:30 i feel but as various research grads also take tutorials of course so it gets managed in case you want to reach out for more depth of knowledge. Teachers are quite approachable and cool.(most of) Exams are like we have each semester one mid sem and end sem , and pretty decent quiz (2,3) between both the timeline. Almost all students clear the exam except 1,2 which didn't wrote anything. Course curriculum is quite good just the teaching methodology can be improved.

Faculties are not such good in 1st year. They just come in class teaches you the thing written on their notes and that's it. Somee lab teacher even teach nothing but would surely give you assignment always. Some teachers are good like ourr maths tutorial class teacher is brilliant in maths and teaches us very clearly. His name i don't remember exactly but there is teacher in physics Tripti mam she just write the things written on her notes. There are exams like quiz then mid sem then end sem then continued to next semester. They are easy to moderate and their question comes almost from the book told by teachers.A very few student gets fail in their examination like 3-4 so they have to reapper examination Course curriculum is not relevant in such a way to provide you a better placement. You just have to make it yourself.

Faculties are very knowledgeable and friendly. They're from phd department so they are already going through there college life so they feel the students. Exam structure is very simple just quizes then mid terms and then finals. Exam are taken by senior professors so they are a bit hard but if you attrnd all the classes you'll definitely score good marks

Faculty in pec are cooperative. Faculties of computer science department are good but that of mechanical department are somewhat rude and illogical. You get mid sems after a month and end sems at end of the semester. Exams are made tough. There is relative marking
A news article was published in 2018 which assured that there are a lot of chances that PEC shall be converted into IIT very soon.
Firstly, PEC is part of the University of Punjab. If it is converted into IIT, then it has to be turned into an autonomous institute first, which has not started yet. There is still not any confirmation regarding the conversion of PEC into IIT. It is a huge thing and these type of topics generally goes through a lot of controversies.
If you are taking admission in PEC thinking that you will get a degree from IIT, then you are completely wrong. You will get a degree with a tag of PEC.
It will be better if you stop thinking about the IIT factor. This institute itself a reputed one and provides amazing placements to every one of its students. So, you must be focused on your hard work, career and future career perspectives without thinking about PEC is transformed into IIT.
