The course curriculum is very inclined towards the growth of the student's career. Students are taught core courses required in the industries and those who don't want to join corporate and go for higher studies or any start-up idea there is provision for that also and relevant courses are present which students can choose as open electives and help them out. Some improvements can be made in the teaching style and proper guidance in labs and classes rather than giving whole responsibility to students for self study.

The relevance of the course matches the industry needs but is not that efficient to help you crack a good package. For example, we have to study the web development on our own there is no subject which let us learn about web dev.

The curriculum of the course is same as of IITs so obviously the curriculum is good . The curriculum is relevant to its respective branches . The exams are held twice every semester(6 months) and the difficulty is the exam is average .

The curriculum is not much effective as it should be when coming to placements and learning new things. Teachers don't care you get som knowledge in your lab but they just want your assignment and practical fine done in proper time limit. some subjects like communicatoin skills are good which boost your confiedence and remove your fear for communicating to many people. It can be effective by adding main subjects in 1st semester like coding language for CSE students also teachers must takes example of the topic that affects in real world application. Frequency should be like Two exams per 6 months in which 1st exam should not be hectic and also some quick quizzes .

The courses in first year are somewhat irrelevant because they teach you the same physics and chemistry. However after second year the course is relevant which will help you getting placements but you have to study on your own for better opuurtunities

The course and curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness I would wait it 7 out of 10 because the course curriculum is designed on the basis of industry requirements. The course curriculum changes according to the industry requirements.

Course curriculum I think is really bad. I mean what is the purpose of dedicating full semester of CSE to non circuital subjects and courses(which will not be useful in our future). The course is focussed more towards theoretical knowledge and not towards practical knowledge

The course curriculum of the college is good and well stuructured. The faculty is also well trained. In the first year, students are taught same subjects irrespective of their branches. The branch upgrade process starts at the end of the first year based on CGPA. The overall curriculum prepares you well for the real-world applications.

I will advise you not to compare colleges solely on the basis of rankings and placements because these are too trivial criteria to be considered while choosing your college. One must look at the bigger picture. NIT Delhi, despite being a new institute, has already laid its strong foundation and you can expect excellent placements in the near future.
Here are a few highlights of the institute:
Overall, NIT Delhi offers good quality education and a NIT tag that will up your game in higher education.
In terms of NIRF 2023 rankings, NIT Hamirpur is placed 127th while PEC is placed 138th among Engineering colleges in India.
Keeping the rankings apart, your choice of college should be based on two factors-
During the 2023 placement season, the median package for ECE branch at PEC stood at INR 18.40 LPA. Last year, the CSE branch at NIT Hamirpur recorded 96.81% placements. 139 offers were received in total, and the highest salary stood at INR 1.12 CPA.
Based on your personal preference, you can choose either of the two options.
IT at IIIT Allahabad is a better option, compared to CSE at PEC. In terms of academics, facilities, and placements, it has an edge over PEC. IIIT Allahabad placement 2022 concluded with an average CTC of INR 19.52 LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 32.5 LPA. The placement rate was around 100%. The campus has a good student crowd, peer learning opportunities are ample.
But PEC has a locational advantage. Compared to Allahabad, Chandigarh offers better exposure and career opportunities.
It's difficult to choose one between NIT Kurukshetra Civil and OEC Chandigarh CSE because both branches are different with diverse scopes and opportunities. You will have to consider a lot of parameters while choosing one of these
Personally I will suggest you opt for the CS branch unless you have any specific inclination towards civil engineering or any other branch. The excellent placements of this branch are not the only reason I am suggesting you go for it. The courses taught are rather easy and can be covered through self-study which may not be possible for Civil.
You are aware of the academic situation of most engineering colleges these days. Most professors have no interest in teaching. I believe that if you can get CS in PEC you can also get CS in NIT Kurukshetra. It has a better alumni network so it's a better option than PEC. Civil students will have options like research internships, masters or Ph.D. later, get into IES, etc.
Here is a comparison of a few statistics that might help you further make a well-informed decision.

In the end, your choice of college won’t matter much but how you spent your 4 years will.
A news article was published in 2018 which assured that there are a lot of chances that PEC shall be converted into IIT very soon.
Firstly, PEC is part of the University of Punjab. If it is converted into IIT, then it has to be turned into an autonomous institute first, which has not started yet. There is still not any confirmation regarding the conversion of PEC into IIT. It is a huge thing and these type of topics generally goes through a lot of controversies.
If you are taking admission in PEC thinking that you will get a degree from IIT, then you are completely wrong. You will get a degree with a tag of PEC.
It will be better if you stop thinking about the IIT factor. This institute itself a reputed one and provides amazing placements to every one of its students. So, you must be focused on your hard work, career and future career perspectives without thinking about PEC is transformed into IIT.
In terms of brand recognition and exposure, NSUT IT is better than PEC Chandigarh. Delhi offers way better exposure, due to the presence of the industry belt in the area. There are many reputed technological institutes in Delhi such as IIITD, so the learning opportunities are ample.
CSE and IT aren’t too different. The major difference between the two branches is hardware and 90% of students are more invested in software roles. If you aren’t particularly interested in the hardware section of Computer Science, choosing NSUT will be better. NSUT placements are great for IT. Students of the branch get salary packages in the range of INR 4 - 20 LPA.
MNNIT Allahabad has recently placed more than 2000 students in top companies like HP, HCL, Adobe and Oracle. Out of 167 students 163 were placed from the CSE department.
MNIT Jaipur is approved by AICTE and MHRD. It is funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
PEC Chandigarh is one of the pioneer engineering institutes in Punjab ranking 68th among the top engineering colleges as per NIRF ranking 2020.

Facilities
PEC Chandigarh is the most ideal institute for pursuing CSE course in terms of placements and facilities.
One of my cousins was in a similar dilemma last year when she had to choose between PEC and NIT Kurukshetra. Both the colleges are premier engineering colleges offering excellent education and are head-to-head in most factors. However, you may want to consider the following points before making the final decision
The final decision depends on personal factors like location and future prospects. If you are from Chandigarh choosing PEC will be better.
Both NIT Bhopal and PEC Chandigarh are very good for CSE and provide many facilities to its students. Out of both of them, I would recommend you to choose NIT Bhopal over PEC Chandigarh due to the following reasons.
Hence, NIT Bhopal is a better institute than PEC Chandigarh and provides all the facilities and the proper environment to students without much load of studies. So, it is better to choose NIT Bhopal over PEC Chandigarh.
PEC Chandigarh is a better option for Computer Science and Engineering, considering the factors of placement, curriculum, and the overall development of the students in the institute.
The table below gives a brief level of comparison among the two institutes.
